    This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

    Sorry that's not it. I have the recipe for it. When it'd done right it looks like a creamy foam poured on top. It also does not disperse into the coffee the way yours did. It sits on top of the coffee and slowly trickles down.

    At starbucks we actually dilute our cold brew with water before pouring it into the keg. Then dilute it again with more water when we pour it into the cup for customers. Its because the cold brew coffee is so extremely caffeinated on its own. The VSC is also heavy whipping cream, vanilla syrup, and 2% milk whisked into a jug that we then refrigerate. The ratio is hard to describe but its *mostly* heavy whipping cream, then the 2% milk and vanilla are about an equal ratio poured into the jug.

    • @robertotamayodelatorre6296
      @robertotamayodelatorre6296 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is the proportion of coffee and water that you use to make the infusion and how many hours do you let it rest?

    • @honeysweetbunbun
      @honeysweetbunbun ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertotamayodelatorre6296 we receive 5lb bags of cold brew coffee and we grind the entire thing on the french press setting on our industrial grinder. We have giant drip coffee dispensers in the back of house that we then put the ground 5lb of coffee into. A single drip dispenser can take the entire 5lb of ground coffee beans. We pour 14 liters of cold filtered water into the drip coffee dispenser and the machine has a 20 hour drip setting on it . After 20 hours the cold brew auto drains into pre-placed cubes and after it is done dripping we transfer into kegs. Each keg has 7 liters of the cold brew and then diluted with 7 liters of water. We keep full kegs refrigerated in the back until we need to connect them to our cold brew tap. A diluted keg can last about 5 days and undiluted cold brew (when its fresh after the 20 hours and hasnt been put in a keg yet) can last about 7 days.

      What if I use Peet's Ground Coffee that is decaffeinated with the water process? Does that mean I still have to dilute the cold brew after a day of brewing, or is it ok to drink straight up?

      I think it’s shaken no? And they don’t use espresso but a dark blend of coffee? Idk I’m newly obsessed with Philz which is how I came to your video. Your recipe looks good but I would have put ice in the cup first, then poured the shots over it, and then finished the way you did. Letting shots “die” in the cup while you prepare the other stuff seems like the espresso would get bitter. But I’m not an expert (I worked at Starbucks for 5 yrs not Philz 😂)

    hey bro, I stumbled across your TH-cam because my friend from Morocco asked me for an espresso machine recommendation and I used to own the duo temp pro. I loved it! I'm a barista and the issue with the shot you pulled was that it channeled (it wasn't an even extraction) since the shot was splitting as it was extracting. You'll improve as you keep making coffee. I like your style of narration! I really enjoyed the video :)

    *This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*

    If a barista makes 100-200 drinks per day at, we’ll assume, $4.50-$6.00 per drink (yes, I’m being VERY conservative here), that barista is making $450-$600 per day. That’s over $13,500/month revenue.
