I'm glad you like it! I felt the need to have it somewhere in the world, because I'd like my viewers to also be able to see what I'm trying to accomplish and how the world develops as a result.

My apologies, I wrote the wrong date in the video itself. This coming Sunday will be the 15th, and that is when I will aim to upload a new episode. Minor error aside, everything else appears to be correct.
22:30 - it is just a bug in generation, it is more about your version (not just your specific world / seed), these things doesn´t happen much in newer versions (but still occasionally do). But new versions will update only chunks you didn´t enter in older versions, so this will not change even when update to newer version later
21:03 - yes, it is "Spawner" of some specific mob/enemy, it is the same thing you have in caves, this was probably a cave just under sand and sand collapses when there are gaps of air (also maybe just a bug in generation), but it should be connected to a cave anyway, so dig around, maybe you will find another mineshaft or cave there :)

yeah i'm still working on getting the sound to be more cohesive, but i was also trying to replicate the sound of the original recording, which does have an amateur sound to it. i think that's what makes it appealing to me. alex g tends to have this home recording sound that i think adds to the overall energy of the song. i tried my best to pay homage to it, but i guess i do leave it up to everyone who watches to determine how well i did that

1:10:33 Advice - put bed inside the fishing hut ... put beds basically in any semi-permanent locations to get sleep at any point when you are building or doing any other activities close to your outpost (some mine underground base would be good idea too with basic tools and food in chest, crafting table, furnace and bed ) :)
31:58 Fortune will give you more drops from the same ore / mining :) .. it basically multiplies the drops of anything (but in case of pickaxe - anything minable)

20:22 At this point I would just take the wooden planks from shafts and mine some coal to make new torches :D - Even if you see a bit, torches will make less space for monsters to spawn and of course are better for seeing diamonds which is why you are in the caves in the first place :D
