@@Carlsscalemodelling163 Thank you so much Carl, Michelle and Tammy. I put an update on Tammys post. but incase you missed it. Michelle is completely overwhelmed with everyone's generosity ! A quick update for everyone. The local council have offered another council house as accommodation until her house is ready for reoccupation sometime in 2026. Right now someone locally has let the family stay in a vacant AirBnB until such time as Michelle is ready to move to the council temporary accomodation. I didnt know that Michelle had more pets! a snake and another cat. Although heartbroken at losing one cat to the fire, the other (a pure white) returned to the burnt out property yesterday, although a different colour due to the soot (Black). The snake also survived as it was sleeping under her daughters piles of clothing (Yep! teenagers!!) the outer pile burnt to a crisp but right in the middle Mr snake!.

No problem at all bet your really busy today Happy thanksgiving

My grandfather was co-driver/MG operator on crusaders then shermans in N Africa then Italy with the 10th royal Hussars, 2nd brig, 1st arm div and I’m looking for a really decent Sherman that was used by the British army in N Africa or even Italy. I have a set of 10th hussars decals from Star decals that I can use and have lots of kits to improve my skills on , so it doesn’t have to be a novice kit. Money isn’t really an issue cos it’s a memorial/tribute so I put some money aside for it (well, a little! lol) I’m very much a novice at the moment but hope to be fairly decent in a year or 2 by the time I’ve built the 30 kits I have in my stash!! 😁🤷🏻‍♂️🤣😇😳🤷🏻‍♂️😂😂😂

@@danhat69 If you want a Firefly, get the RFM The other RFM Sherman M4A3E8 is only good for 1945 US Army ETO, Korea or something post-war Same is true for the 2 Tamiya M4A3E8s The Tamiya "M1 Sherman" is good for US Army and Free French in NWE or Commonwealth in late Italy as well as a range of post-war options ALL other Tamiya Shermans should be avoided like the proverbial plague: riddled with faults The single Meng offering is only good for late 44 or 45 US Army or Free French at a pinch: they did have a few. Post war maybe. Italeri Shermans and their Heller and Matchbox clones are best avoided The single Zvezda kit, late M4A2, is only good for Red Army or USMC but has problems. They have an A3 coming. Dragon have a whole range of Shermans not necessarily all available at the same time covering the entire production period and just about every major version. Some are old, Some have been superseded by newer toolings but the old ones are still out there. Lately they have suffered with their daft DS tracks that don't last but these are being replaced with link-and-length. Asuka (ex Tasca) have a more limited range but are considered excellent at what they do. Some of the older moulds are not holding up too well: I'm thinking of the M4A4/Sherman V /Firefly VC here. Starting to get a bit of flash, pronounced mould lines, belled edges etc. If you can get a Tasca boxing the parts will be better. But they remain stubbornly expensive and relatively hard to find. Academy kits and their Airfix boxings are fair to middling: not the best but not the worst either. Everything they do is done by someone else, except the wierd M36B1 and the tank-dozer: and probably done better. But they are relatively cheap and can come out well.
