How happy I am to have come across this interview! The Baebes have been with me through our kids growing up (here in California, kids hearing the gals singing in different languages & amazing vocals has been a wonderful experience; in the car or at home-young folks aren't really exposed to music thats not 'mainstream' ... their curiosity is a joy to watch!) ... & personally, their like friends - I've listen in happy times, & the rough times too(Iam a widow now; life throws stuff at us very unexpectedly), but a Iam a gramma ❤too as well~ So happy the gals are still creating!! This guy is soooo underrated. Many will remember him for his stunt at the 2000 MTV VMAs - but he is a really solid bassist and musician. And it seems like he's pretty chill at this point in life. Wishing him a full recovery with his cancer.

Thank you for posting this! I appreciated the relaxed and casual nature of this interview. The interviewer asked a lot of questions that I wanted to know about Meryl's creative process and musical history, and Meryl answered them in an honest and down to earth way. I truly believe that Meryl is on the verge of becoming as big as he wants to be, and that his creative talents are immense having developed a very unique and signature sound and style after just an album and three released singles. HIs first album is incredible, he's working with some excellent producers on the second and he's making very well shot videos, despite having less resources than if he was with a larger label. I wish him all the best and I'm trying to promote him as much as possible in the U.S., despite the fact that he admits that it will be hard for him to tour here in the near future. I feel when I listen to his music and see him performing live in concert on TH-cam footage that I'm seeing a superstar before everyone else is. His song "If this is life" has real crossover potential, with its simple yet catchy hook and upbeat sound despite its serious subject matter. It sounds like a joyful revolution, and he's the one leading it. Cheers again for the concise and informative interview! I've subscribed to your channel and I'm going to check out more of what's on here!
