I think they definitely cast Aaron thinking more of the off-field issues, than what Josh would look like in pads. It didn’t ruin the show for me, but I was definitely chuckling about it from time to time.

I haven’t checked that out yet, I’m just way behind on my AppleTV+ watchlist but I’ll get around to it at some point. I’m a Packer fan though, so I had no personal connection to the Pats in the show but I get where you’re coming from.

@@TheNerdverse66Honestly no, It feels like Filoni has just been waiting to break free from George for years, the only SW he respects is his own projects. There’s a reason rebels has never been the same caliber as clone wars, Lucas ran a tight ship and actually knew what was good for the franchise, Filoni just does whatever the hell he wants. Although credit where credit is due, he’s not as bad as Leslie or JJ Abram’s. If anyone could be compared to George it’s Jon Favreau or the guy who made Andor and Rogue one. Honestly it makes sense why S7 of clone wars was mostly really good, Dave was only a supervising director.

Definitely fair criticisms of Dave, maybe him and Jon being a team is what brings that perfect balance, like we saw with Mando s1&2. Gilroy probably won’t make anymore Star Wars after Ander. But he’s delivered the best “Disney-era” projects on the big screen (Gareth Edwards still deserves *some* credit too) and Disney+ so that’s a shame.

I’m not sure they’re gonna do a second season. This was promoted as a ‘limited series’, meaning only 1 season.

@HM-ky6xp It's not even a theory. It's pretty much one of the oldest plot devices in the book. When there's a character that only interacts with a main character (and said main character is either crazy or has special powers), the supporting character is either imagined or a ghost. It's the plot twist in "A Beautiful Mind", "The Sixth Sense", "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice", and like a thousand other things. Hell, even the first "Joker" movie used it.

@TheNerdverse66 Frances still never acknowledges he's there. There's also a guy who has her right arm escorting her from the car, who might actually be doing all the work of leading her. The shot is set up in such a way that Julian casts no shadow on either Frances or the ground. The SUV blocks us from seeing the three of them cast a shadow. Also, the revealing shot is set up to indicate that we're meant to be viewing it from Sofia's vantage point. I mean, it's entirely possible that he's real, but all the evidence supporting it seems like a bunch of red herrings meant to make the audience think he's really there.

I had this theory in mind when watching episode 7 but there is a scene where one of Sophias bodyguards opens the door and lets Dr Rush into the room to speak with Sophia in a way that really wouldn't make any sense if Dr Rush didn't exist

Fair but both decisions were made to fit these iterations of the character. That was more so my point, tying back to my theory about Julian.

​@@TheNerdverse66Riddlers name is Edward nashton so there was no change there, and Oswald cobblepot was changed to Oswald cobb because this character grew up broke and Matt reeves didn't think the cobblepott name fit that. Julian Rush would be a name change just for the sake of surpising the audience, no reason not to call him Jonathan Crane. There has also been literally no evidence that this is scarecrow, this entire theory is based around how the character is a weird guy.

Unfortunately, Sony still owns a lot, if not all, of the Spider-Man IP. They work with Marvel Studios for the MCU Spider-Man movies, and now they’re seemingly doing that with Prime Video for shows.

@@Dollaglo ya, I mean, I feel like regardless of quality of the show, it is covering multiple factors of his life that pushed him here. I thought they could've spent some more time in his childhood, because that's where our pillars are built. But I do think they've covered multiple factors that pushed him here, maybe leaning more into the CTE/brain injuries he suffered throughout the years.
