So NA stands for narcotics anonymous. He wrote about a time he struggled with addiction and took him to dark places, the point of the song, like many of their others. The goal is to let people know they’re not alone, and as crazy as some thoughts can get, it’s not the end and it’s possible to come out the other side. The chorus in the beginning was one Oli had the ground sing during tour, and unbeknownst to them, was put in this song. Olis wife is part of their creative team and has a lot of designs and art that they utilize, including album covers. She, and possibly some of his, art was all the art show in the song. This band has been, and always will be one of a kind and once in a generation!

Im big AILD fan but this album isnt hitting me as much as the previous few albums unfortunatly. This song is one of my favorite out of this album though

The serpent is Eastern European reference to alcohol/alcoholism. Tatiana is two years sober. The green is due to wine being originally made from green grapes hence the Green Serpent. Check out Dream Stealer if you have a chance. That's the first single that dropped a few months ago. It's got a temper. The last album was a bit 80s heavy metal inspired and that single departed from that which surprised a lot of listeners. They thought the classic Arch Enemy style had come back (nasty).

Thanks for checking this out! (Liked n subbed) It's an old band, coming up on 30y with 3 distinct eras each with different vocalists. They used to be really nasty heavy but have mellowed a bit. They still have a lot of talent. Michael Amott, the guitarist and founder believes in catchy simple riffs, and letting the guitars do the singing. A common misunderstanding is why the vocalist doesn't sing clean considering the guitars are more or less heavy metal. That's the thing really. The vocals aren't traditional in that they're in the forefront. The guitars are in front in the Arch Enemy soundscape, and they actually do the clean singing, in a language everybody can understand. The vocals are heavy and a bit behind. This sort of mix is unusual. Michael and his brother used to play and write together, a match made in heaven, but his brother left the band back in 2011. The second guitarist in this song is actually a kind of pupil of the departed brother. Joey the current guitarist has been in many projects together with Christ (the departed brother). So it's nice to have a sort of reunion of the old sound again. I expect a lot more harmonies and fun riffs in future songs as they can jam together. The guitarist Joey replaced was none other than Seattle's virtuoso Jeff Loomis. After 10y in AE he wanted to explore other areas. Jeff and Mike couldn't write together as they live in vastly different places. Now it's different with Joey I think. 😊

I commend all the band members for creating such an amazing album inspite of having to deal with tim's declining mental health..it just saddens me that tim let himself get so bad instead tk the point it effected all around him.

I love this track, my favourite riff are @1:17 to 1:40 to 2:11 & 4:15 phil sgrosso really out did himself self with the intricate riffery . Ryan neff too was the perfect replacement for josh Gilbert... its a shame that things with tim have gotten so bad, I him gets the help he needs.

The Vocalist and the Guitarist have a side project called Times Of Grace. Some of their songs surely sound like Killswitch but most other songs are more calm, experimental and give Jesse's vocals much more space to flourish. Maybe react to ”The Burden Of Belief” or ”Medusa”. Great reaction my dude💪🏻

You gotta do full reactions to I Disagree, Flux and EAT EP! Those albums are incredible. I think I Disagree is the most defining of Poppy as an artist, it has so many twists and turns and was the first proper introduction of Poppy doing a full alternative album. The production is impeccable. It's not as heavy and doesn't have the screaming but it's still metal / industrial... maybe a bit comparable to Nine Inch Nails and 2000s era Manson with a bit of Prodigy thrown in? Flux is more alt rock / grunge, similar to tracks like Negative Spaces or Vital. EAT EP was a soundtrack that Poppy herself produced for WWE NXT. It's one of her heaviest records along with this album.
