I've always wondered what Matt does at around 0:27 and you got it perfect. Is it right left kick four times or is it something else?
Based from what I hear from the studio version, I'm pretty sure that it is sextuplets played half a bar ending in the 'and' of beat four. I would say that the sticking in the studio version would be (r+l)k rlk rlk snare+crash. The fill starts at beat 3 then ends at 'and' of beat 4. If you decided to flam the first note of the fill you might have to add one extra kick before the end of the fill. Alternatively, you can just play rlk (3 times) then end with the snare+crash. (this sounds great too).
