Legit the best intro cutscene for a monster in the entire game. This was the first monster that just straight up gelt like a dark souls boss about to rock my shit.

I dunno why when the music picks up I get goosies but this MF is just so fucking cool. Something about fatalis just hits different.

Fatalis is as basic as the mythological western dragon of our world. (-) Serpentine body? Check (-) Have a "fin" on each side of its head right under the horns that looks like its ear lobes? Check (-) Have a hate bonner moreso towards humans? Check (-) Is a simple yet very powerful fire breather? Check (-) Lives in an abandoned castle? Check (-) Taking down a medieval-esque kingdom? Check Even Safi'jiiva stops being a simple dragon outside of its design perspective alone. As Safi'jiiva presents itself just quite as "extra" as the other monsters of Monster Hunter with its bioenergy consumption, manipulation and all of such.

You should really think about using the Radial menu.. You'll be dead in every master rank endgame hunt before you find your item.

I like how Fatalis licks its lips a little, as if it's thinking "Oh boy! Here comes the appetizer!" It also did so in its 4U intro.

This cutscene made me feel sheer blank terror. This is the same fire that annihilated an entire kingdom in one faithful night. I felt my blood running out of my face when I saw that brick wall melt.
