May i know how did you managed the accommodation.. i am going to Kaplan international college london for foundation course please help me i want to stay on campus but its 6 lakh for 3 months and. Its too expensive
Same Im going there too, it's crazy expensive
Hi! Thanks so much for this video, I felt it was very informative for a prospective student. I want to ask though, do you know of anyone who actually got accepted into ucl through this foundation? I hope to get a reply from you 😊
Hey Daria, I am applying this year to foundation courses, can you tell, generally, about how financials work in foundation year, then after progression to same university's bachelor's or another university? Is ther any way to fund your studies?
Hey! Which uni you did your foundation year?
Did you apply international foundation year based on GCSE O level results? Do you think it is more difficult for you than normal A-level graduates to handle the first year courses in university ? Thanks in advance.
I didn’t have neither gcse, A levels nor IB. I applied to my foundation year based on my school results and ielts. I’d say I even had some advantage over A-levels graduates because by the time we started uni I already had some understanding of uni structure and I knew the format of assignments that my uni specifically wanted. They also usually structure the first year of undergrad at a level that will help to kinda balance and even out the skills of all students from different backgrounds
@@basicallydaria Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
@@basicallydariathank you so much
I will start my internation foundation year this sept and im worried about the visa, will i need to re apply for a different visa for my undergraduate study?
Yes, usually you need to apply for a new visa for undergrad after foundation year
hii i wanted to ask if you went to private highschool in russia, does the International Foundation Programme require applicants to have ap classes or have subjects taught in english?
Hey! I went to a very usual public school. Foundation usually require just a transcript of your grades at school and there’s no requirements about specific subjects and language of teaching
thankyou so muchh@@basicallydaria
Hi mam what type of visa they will give for foundation+bachelor degree
I am going to the same accommodation, this video was so helpful💘
This was a really helpful video, thanks. I have a question though, why did you choose kings and not go for UCL foundation instead?
keep uploading. i will support you
Здравствуйте Дарья, я бы хотела задать вам вопрос. Как вы покрывали финансовые расходы этого курса? Стипендией?
hi !! this video was so informative thank u (i've applied for the foundation year asw) + quick question, what did the offer ask u to achieve? was it a grade or something?
This video was very helpful! Thank you! Was it difficult to apply? I am planning on applying next year
hii, it says on their website that you’ll get a guaranteed entry into year 1 after the foundation year. Does this also apply to medicine? if not, what are the requirements?
They indeed guarantee conditional offer, but you still need to meet the conditions for all courses apart from medicine and law. In case of medicine, everything depends on the exam that you take during the application (I’m not sure about it’s name)
this video was extremely helpful! do you have any advice on writing personal statements for foundation year? i really enjoyed this video❤️
Thank you🥰 I have a pinned post about personal statement tips on my instagram. You can find a link in the description of this video :)
thank you❤️
does it consider a certain age limit ? btw i'm 24... idk if it is too late for me to persue studies
Nope :) there was a guy who’s like 26 in my group during foundation and I have 2 people over 30 on my undergrad course
Hi What is fee cost for foundation program in KCL
That hairstyle hits you, it looks amazingg
Thank u so much🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
hey can i ask how you afford this? I really want to study at King's but I don't want to be 80k in debt T.T
Hey dear, is available in Foundation course in uk 2023?
Nice Vidio👍, 👍👍
Heya what would u like to do next year ?
You're getting the accent girl. Welcome back. Hoping to see more content and consistency
Thank you so much🤍🤍
Did you enter Kings barchelors degree?
Yes) I’m studying at king’s now
Wow the quality of your video has improved significantly! Great job!
Thank u🥰🥰
Kruto. we missed you!!
Thanks🥰🥰🥰
@@basicallydariaHi Dasha, Try Chelsea lodge for a night out is the best place ever.
How did you apply for foundation year?
Through the uni website. I had to attach personal statement, ielts certificate and my grades from last 3 years of school (because in my country we have quite different educational system, we don’t have predicted grades and I applied before I graduated from school). But it may be different in other unis
@@basicallydaria thank you ❤️!!!
I love u soooo muchhh thanx
hii this video is so helpful thank u! but i have a question, how long did it take until you heard back from them after you’ve applied?
For me it was like 3 weeks. But idk what happened this year cuz my sister applied in late March and still haven’t heard back
@@basicallydaria i’m in the same situation as her rn :( which pathway did she apply to?
Physics and math. My assumption is that they already gave too much offers and now are waiting for some people to decline them/fail to meet conditions, but idk for sure. As a student rep who knows a bit of insider info (😅) I can say that kings had to change the whole process of making decisions about applications this year. So I guess they just fucked up with this new system and now have delays. Good luck!
@@basicallydaria oh you’re right that’s probably the case. however, they still have applications open for the IFY. don’t you think that if they’ve given too many offers they would’ve closed the application portal by now?
Yeah, I agree that it would make sense for them to close applications in this case. 2 years ago and last year they had application deadline in late March, so that’s really weird that it’s still open
hey this is just the video I needed. what were the conditions to enter king's undergraduate year? They do mention you have a guaranteed seat but is there a grade or gpa limit? How difficult was it? especially compared to your first undergraduate.
Hey They only guarantee conditional offer (except law and medicine since there is also an entry exam). Then you need to meet these conditions. For my year it was mostly B* overall, but this year has I guess A overall for most courses. In terms of how difficult it is - way easier comparing to undergrad😅 they are not that harsh during foundation and we easily got like B* if we did the required minimum. It might be a bit more challenging next year, but I don’t think that I’ll be really hard tho
Hi can student do work with foundation course in uk and how much they can earn
Can you get a scholarship using a foundation programme?
Can you tell classes per week for undergraduate foundation year?
I’ll be just finishing my IGCSE and I’m planning to apply for the international foundation program, but I’m kinda worried if I’m eligible to be an applicant, any suggestions on this ?
I guess the best way is to check on the website or to email them your conditions and ask whether you can apply)

Amazing experience
I left Uni over 20 years ago attending both Kings and QMU. Back then the Chem department was located at the Strand Campus. I struggled at Kings as it was poorly structured (lectures at odd times and at different parts of London too) and then moved to QMU (back then it had Westfield as a name attached to it). The teaching was so much better at QMU 10 hours of Lectures and 12 hours of practical in a purpose built building for Chem. Few years later due to funding both QMU and Kings axed the undergrad Chem degrees. So fast forward to your videos, I'm surprised to see both colleges have now reintroduced Chemistry.
Hello I am planning to apply kings collage foundation and I couln't find any infomation about the process of appling and getting accepted by foundation programs other than web sites of king's and other universities tbh. Do you mind if i ask you a few questions about the process via a social platform because nobody knows about the topic around me sadly.. Thank u anyway
Sure! You can dm me on Instagram daariiushka ☺️
Another question, did you get a scholarship in KCL or are you studying with your own account? Is the foundation course can I get a grant?
I didn't have any scholarships for both foundation and bachelors. There is (or at least it was when I applied) an opportunity to get 10% discount for foundation. I know that quite a lot of people had scholarships from their countries. You just need to look at different opportunities that your country or uni that you selected provide. Unfortunately, there is no one database with all scholarships, so you just need to do your own research about it
It was really a very useful video for me ✋🏽💙💙 because I want to apply next year to universities in UK but what about taking the sat test instead of Foundation year? Is it an alternative in your opinion or have you seen an accepted international student without taking Ip levels or A levels and taking only the Sat Test? in kcl?
Thank you for a feedback🤍 It's a bit tricky with sat and other international tests because it depends on each uni. I don't know exactly, but i think that even if kings accept sat, they might be very picky. I recommend you to just look at their website or email them directly as I'm not qualified enough to answer you😅
does kings college accept foundation year from INTO foundation?
They don’t have specific criteria’s like “we accept this, this and this foundations”. I suppose they usually evaluate each application overall
Yeay I am currently needed this type of video!Thank you! And I do have a question, for accommodation, does angel lanes and atlas sounds familiar when you had to choose a residence to live for foundation? I will apply to King’s foundation for next year ;-; Hope It would turned great!
Glad to know that it was helpful! You can choose any king's accommodation, including atlas and angel lane, if you are over 18 at the beginning of your course. If you will be under 18, king's will give you a room only in the stamford street apartments or great dover street apartments
Congrats on your offers, if its ok to ask, did your personal statement for king’s foundation was more focus on the foundation program or the bachelor that you intended to do?
Thanks! My personal statement for foundation was more about myself and what I want to achieve in future. But i didn’t focus on any of specific courses (both foundation and bachelors), it was more like in general
Amazing
your videos are awesome
Thanks)
I’m so excited about your new video, you’re so nicee
