Where is vs Jav at ? Lol.
DJ was talking trash all week about how he was going to have a 700 series and beat me. I'm upset that he got the 1st game. But you're right 'vs Jav' would have been a better match.
@mlbrown76 lol. That's wild. I'm telling Dev I'm better than him now. You were cooking
nice tips but i run with cfop much better and faster :)
Cool story bro, but you do realize that this is a part of CFOP. What do you think the 'O' & 'P' stand for?
@@mlbrown76 a really slower version of it if it really is
@@lhz-black-devil I can tell that you're young or simply don't know what you're trying to say or both. Take care.
@@mlbrown76 im30 im not young at all🤣
Bro roasted me that he solved F2L stages smoother than my refresh rate. 😂
I am in disbelief there is such a great way to solve first 2 layers. Pls make more tutorials
I'm not a TH-camr, not do I want you be. There are tutorials online for almost any method you might want to learn.
And then acting surprised after the throw ???? oke...
That's not the 4-6 split. It's the 6-7 split.
Thanks. I charged the title.
Nice
Well just gunna say it. Thanks. Some great tips. Have moved from layer by layer to EFK and I think it is much faster. Just have to remember the opposing/adjacent colours.
I've made my research and I think we can do it without learning N and Z perm at the cost of doing the A perm twice First of all, I don't know how I got here but I'm glad because these algs are way easier than the ones showed by Jperm Now, if you get the case for the N perm, do the A perm instead. That'll get you a pair of headlights. If you have a pair of headlights already you can proceed with the edge permutation If you get the case for the Z perm, turn the U face to make a U perm case instead After the U perm, do the A perm and you are done. Please let me know if I got it wrong
You're not wrong. However, the way you describe turns it into 3 Look PLL rather than 2 Look PLL. Also, it doesn't take much to learn 2 more algs which will save you time once you learn them. Finally, once you want to get faster you will likely learn more algs anyway. Knowing the 2 you referenced simply means you will have 2 less algs to learn if you decided to learn 1 look PLL.
I can do that on weekends and days that end in y. I just choose not to. :)
Nice shot!
Very nice
Sweeeettt!!!
I feel like we may have met IRL. I searched my contact list and didn't find your name. Or did you start following me back when I used to post pool videos? Either way, I appreciate you watching and commenting on my videos.
What can't you do!!
Very impressive, how often can you do that?
Not as often as I would like.
MLBrown... how are you? Loved and learned from your videos. You are an excellent pool player. Wishing you a happy and filling Thanksgiving
I'm doing good. Thank you for the kind words. Happy Thanksgiving to you also.
I was there in 97 on the Indy. Good times!
Thank you very much. With this 4 look and EFK method, do you think a 30 secs average solve is possible? I am no way in competition level, just a hobby but putting effort to improve from beginner method. Much appreciated.
You can definitely average 30ish seconds with this 4 look and EFK. What do you currently average for you 1st 2 layers and what do you currently average for your total solves?
@@mlbrown76 With beginners method last month, I can complete 1:30ish secs. Then I am on EFK and 4 look for around 2 weeks now, around 1 hr a day only playing with the cube, had my best at 45 secs, averaging 50-55 secs. I am a busy working Dad and just studying for fun & bonding with the kids. Just wondering if I would give more time and effort with these methods, if 30ish is remotely possible for my age. Thank you for the videos and sharing some competition videos of your amazing son too.
@@flyaboveall7412 you're in a similar situation as I was in a while back. My son and I used to cube together as a way of bonding. I tried keeping up with him as long as I could, but ultimately his youthfulness and hand dexterity surpassed my abilities. However, I currently average in the low 20s and I'm in my late 40s (age wise). If your ultimate goal of to average in the 30's, EFK and 4 look will get you there. If you want to average 30 or faster, EFK, 2 look OLL and 1 look PLL will get you there. If you want to ultimately average sub 20, you should probably abandon EFK and start learning Friedrich F2L.

This video just randomly showedup in my daily feed and I gotta say this method is really good for beginners who are finally ready to move on to some faster methods. That being said, I don't think it can be used as an alternative to a regular F2L though. Taking an edge out from middle layer to top and more cube rotations compared to regular F2L are the major downsides. This method is obviously better than beginner's layer by layer method but definitely ineffective and slow compared to regular F2L. I know you've never mentioned this method could be an alternative to regular F2L but I'm just saying. P.S I average 12 seconds with regular CFOP. Thanks.
I know what you are saying, but you're mixing up terminology. There is no regular F2L. F2L is an acronym for first 2 layers. LBL, ZZ, CFOP, etc. are all F2L methods. You mean you don't think it's an alternative to CFOP, which I never claimed it to be. This is simply the method that I use. I know that my solves are about 10% less efficient than very efficient CFOP solves. A very efficient CFOP solve is 60-65 total turns on avg. My solves are 70-75 total turns on avg. I did not cube rotate however. You're mistaking a wide U turn for a cube rotation. Review the video again and you'll see that there were no cube rotations. Great job to you averaging 12 seconds. I'll never be that fast (even if I used your method) and I'm okay with that. I'm likely much older than you. I didn't learn to solve a 3x3 until I was in my mid 30s and that was more than a decade ago.
Tutorial bro
I use Edges First Keyhole (EFK) F2L. I kind of got lucky with the last corner/edge pair. Here is a basic EFK tutorial (th-cam.com/video/tyU_9_dS8CA/w-d-xo.html).
either your hands are super bigs or the cube is small, either way good technique and time, my average is only around 60 seconds
The cube is a Tornado V3, so it's basically a standard size 3x3. What method do you use for F2L?
Do you still play Pool brother now that we are in 2023?
I don't play nearly as much as I once did. However, I've gone through periods where I didn't play much before.
I always get half cross For example, one above ,one middle ,one left and one right . I never get a yellow piece on the bottom part. Can anyone help me?
I'm not sure what you mean. I would attempt to help if I knew what you were talking about.
(No headlights) what is that mean??
if you have 2 same colors on the right and left corners on one side
very useful thank you.it is easier than other vedio to remember.
Top...thanks for tutorial rubic....
Watered down bullshit with coed initiation.
There is a typo on 5:54 for the first Sune case
Thanks. I don't think I can edit the video now without deleting and reloading it though.
@@mlbrown76 yea but I think you explained it pretty well so anyone got this far should have no problem following it. Maybe pin this comment so people would see if they got stuck?
@@saugamagic you may be right, but this video is almost a year old and only 4 people have legitimately responded. I feel like it's lost in the TH-cam algorithm. I hope you found it useful though.
@@mlbrown76 yes it is really helpful! The best one on this topic I have found. Very organized and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing!
Entertaining 👌 great shooting buddy. Hopefully you will come back one day and make some more pool videos 🎱 👊👍

The 10 and 13 ball were done so nicely! Well done! The fact that this video is only two and a half minutes is crazy enough!
godly calculations you got there
Sick!
6 years latter, someone finally says something! LOL
And this is exactly why learning how to bank the balls in Pool is crucial if you want to be good at the game! Nice runout 👏🏽
I look forward to watching this entire video
Decided to use this method rather than learning full CFOP. F2L currently poses significant barriers in improving my time at the moment, and I'm only hoping to hit anywhere between 25-30 seconds per solve. Wish me luck.
Good luck, but you don't need it. You can definitely be sub 30 without using CFOP. I'm sub 30 and I use an intermediate method called "Edges 1st Keyhole Method". My son is sub 20 with the same method. I have some of my practice sessions on my channel if you'd like to take a look at was sub 30 looks like and you may get an idea of the method I use. I do have some "bad habits" that I'd suggest that you avoid however. I solve most of F2L with my last layer on bottom and flip the cube over to complete the last layer.
@@mlbrown76 I'll have a look at that method tomorrow, thank you. And I'll check out the other videos on your channel, just subscribed :) And yeah, I'm not intent on learning CFOP, just 4LLL. In fact, I am already able to do all but 3 cases with 4LLL, and those are: U OLL cases Diagonal corner swap PLL case Adjacent edge swap PLL case Other than those three, I'm pretty good at it. I'm just using beginners method for my first 2 layers with OLL/PLL for the last layer as that shaves a good 15 seconds off. I do know intuitive F2L btw, I just dont use it because I'm not as comfortable with it as I am using conventional method for first 2 layers.
WOW!!! Fantastic!

This was years ago. I don't remember. You can probably look up the plans (Serpina clock) and find out.
Hi how many teeth is thé large Gear ? please

Can you explain your reasoning for shooting stripes? I've watched this video numerous times over the past few months and I just can't wrap my head around it. Solids are laid out nicely with no real problems.
Some people play by rules that state the table is "open" after pocketing a ball on the break and the shooter can choose from stripes or solids even if only one or the other balls was pocketed. Some people play by rules that state if you only pocket stripes or solids, those are the balls you must shoot. This was 6 years ago, but I'm pretty sure that I chose to practice by the "you have what you pocket on the break" rules in order to make running racks slightly more difficult. Otherwise you're right, I could have easily ran out with solids, but the video wouldn't have been nearly as interesting. ;-)
mlbrown76 Makes sense!
