Pretty Little Things - Animatic (Dream SMP)
Hi! I'm Iris, and this is my first completed Dream SMP animatic! To be honest, I've started about five separate animatics for this fandom, and have yet to actually finish one until now. So, I hope you enjoy!
It follows Niki's and Wilbur's characters and their stories after the destruction arc- where Wilbur blew up his country and home. It travels through Niki's journey of betrayal, grief, and finally, destruction. I hope to have portrayed the confusion, regret and anger she must have felt after being betrayed by one of her best friends.
The lineart and everything here is supposed to be messy- Niki and Wilburs friendship was very messy, and it led to alot of conflict and hurt feelings. I think their story is one of the most interesting and sad ones on the whole server. I chose this song because I feel as if it really connects to Niki's character- how everyone tended to overlook her and see her only as "Wilburs friend" (something that very much happens in real life too, outside of roleplay.) However, she's obviously much more than that.

This is MASTERFUL. The amount of THOUGHT that went into this is stunning-- I'd never considered it before, but this song tells the story perfectly, and you managed to pair moments and lyrics that capture the best of everything. The way you focus on the psyche of each character is so compelling! The sense of tragedy and the deviously simple array of complex paradoxes are fully accentuated, and the motion and expressions of the characters are quite good! I got highly emotional over this and I regret nothing. Thank you so very much for creating and sharing!!
