Haha thanks mate, yeah that 'guaranteed' bit was kind of me being optimistic before covid haha. Still have a huge amount of footage to sort through and hopefully will release an update video at some point!
That was great. I have just bought myself a 197 Clio track car and have made bookings at Thruxton, Castle Coombe and Donnington Park this summer. I'm hoping to produce some similar videos. Have you been able to take Chip out this year? Best regards, Matthew.
That sounds amazing! Can't go wrong with the 197/200 clios. Life's been a little hectic lately and a gearbox rebuild on chip is definitely needed before my next track day. After that I'm hoping to test a few things at brands hatch again before I venture out to other tracks. Being 15mins away from brands has it positives but makes going to other tracks feel like a bit of a mission! When I do go I'll post any updates on Instagram @whitecliocup. Maybe one day I'll catch you out there!
@@WhiteClioCup Excellent! Well good luck with the gearbox rebuild. I live at Andover so Thruxton is my local track. I would love to head over to Brands Hatch in the future as it looks like a fantastic setup. All the best and, yes, hopefully we can meet up some time!

Reminds me of my first 172 cup, similar spec but always wanted to get it painted white as it looks so good.
these things are unbreakable. i bought one on valentines day 2002, i tried to run it into the ground for 13 years. odometer got stuck on 213,000kms for about 5 years. it is still running. must be close to 400,000kms

@@Hopgop1 I've got more videos on my Instagram on my "chips bits" highlight. But basically I took out the clocks and slotted the wireless holder sideways . Definitely some DIY needed 👍
That white color, uh, is beautiful clio 👍👍 In the era of turbo engines, clio 172, 182 and his NA engine makes it so alive that it is intoxicating, it's a brilliant driver's car. So, I have a clio 172 in black, 😊😊 which is more or less in the factory specifications, bucket seat, omp corisica, cup suspension, ferodo pads, and I have it for 6 years now and I don't plan to sell it even if I ever take something stronger and faster 😉 Every day driven because somehow getting up and going to work at 6 am in the morning is not difficult when I sit in the sprco sprint, and start clio 😁 Regards👍
in love with my clio rs1! real "drivers car" no comfort , no artificial equipments, i mean if you only look after driving joy ! this is the best toy available for a low budget.. and if you stuck it in a gravel trap... there is no drama!!!

It's a ktec cat-back recessed system. Just falls under track day noise restrictions 🏁

Thanks buddy. It's definitely getting harder and harder to find this breed of car now. Where it's about the : no frills, simple, manual, driver involvement are the focus rather than outright power and performance. Just hang on to yours forever. As you know it's a future desirable.

Hey mate. Does your shifter have any mods to it other than the extender?
And what length is the extender

No mods just a stock shifter with ZPO extender. Although I do have a solid dogbone gearbox mount from EVOL Engineering which helps get rid of the floppyness 😁
