Grew up driving my Dad's 68 Merc that we pulled from a farmers field. Dad rebuild the truck and I instantly fell in love with the Bumpside Ford. Being older now and wanting one for myself, I decided to build a 67 F250 powered by a Cummins Turbo Diesel!!
This will be my pull rig to hopefully pull home some more projects!!
Would love to do a 67 Shortbox next!!!

What intercooler did you use
It’s the intercooler from the 1993 Dodge D250 that the Cummins came from.
What intercooler are you running?
I running an intercooler from a 93 Dodge D250.
The work you do is pretty sweet. Are you working with the local fab shop to make all your brackets? What intercooler are you using?
Hey man, yeah I have a buddy that has a massive laser table all the breaks and everything you can imagine. If you’re local and needing some stuff made, let me know. Cheers.
Thanks! Yes definitely a lot of work but I’m sure you grin ear to ear whenever you drive it
100%!!! Smiles per Gallon are huge!!
Sweet truck! Doing a great job! I was thinking of doing this with a 2005 frame is it pretty much the same other than coil springs in front?
Yes exactly. Only real difference is coil overs in the front.
Man that was quick response! Is there a reason you picked the 99-04 chassis over the 2005 and newer was there something easier about it ?
@@alexanderr.5479 my original concept was to swap those axles underneath the original 67 frame using leaf springs. But the more I thought about it, the more I leaned to doing a frame swap. The geometry was already there for the steering and suspension and seem to be the way to go. Either way, they are both a lot of work. Haha.
So Sweet! I loved watching the build series! I know this takes time! Keep up the work and post when you can! Definitely has fans!
Hey Alex. Thanks for the feedback. It does take a lot of time and I have been committing my time to other things. I’ve been wanting to get back into my project. I’m thinking of doing an update video here in the near future. Thanks for the support of the channel.
I believe these yellow 68 crew cab dually trucks were ordered by the city of seattle
These were actually CN trucks up here in Canada. CN was the railroad here in Canada.
Loving your work, appreciate how you are going out of your way to share it with us too. Keep up the good work, and I'm certainly seeing a brand coming out of all this, oh and a one off sick cummins bumpside too!
Thanks so much. Really appreciate the comment. Arnie is so close to being on the road. Once my life slows down here a bit, I hope to put out some more content!!
I’ve watched your build series on this a couple times now. It’s awesome. I’ve got a similar project slowly moving along on a dent crew. Can’t wait to see more man!
Does the jump seat have floor mounts?
I love it, when will we get a full video?
Greetings from Western Montana and as you know out projects are never done! Stay warm this winter AAAAAAAAAAh ! LOL
Haha. Thanks man!
Can’t wait
To expand a little, I imagine that it takes a lot of time and energy to video, edit and create these videos. On top of all the time it takes to build something like this. The truck looks absolutely perfect. Not a monster truck, near stock highboy looking but with a modern chassis, a badass diesel and patina that’s hard to come by. For what it’s worth, I have watched nearly all the videos prob a couple times. I’ve been collecting parts for my own project that is similar to yours. I CANT WAIT to see the next progress update!
Glad to see you got it finished
Finished? 🤔 It has progressed. Haha.
its done
Done is a strong word. It’s “mobile”, haha.
Been thinking about you, looking forward to an update! Hope things are well
Hell yeah!
Still building?
Yes and no. I haven’t done anything in almost a year. I still have the truck, just getting to it is another thing. Arnie is still regular talk. Should be more content coming this winter!!
@@chilliewilliesmedia thanks for the reply. Look forward to seeing the updates
I just started making a cut file very similar to your mounts. Thanks again. Best cummins ford build on yt.
Waiting for next vids. Best cummins to ford swap on youtube yet.
Great build. Are you hooking up the grid heater.
Got an amazon part number for that sump
Those look like double duty diesel mounts. Is that you marketing them now.
Haha. No. No marketing. I’m not smart enough for that. Lol.
@@chilliewilliesmedia can you tell me what bushings you used.
@@tjs_welding_and_fabrication Energy Suspension 9.4102 Universal Mount / Isolator Set - Part Number 94102
Haven’t seen anything from project arni for some time have you finished?
No I haven’t finished. I’ve been away from Arnie for about 6 months. Probably won’t see anything for a couple months yet.
We spoke some time ago I’ll be doing a mini version of what your doing. I was in Manitoba last September and picked up a 74 courier. Putting it on a 04 ranger frame and it’s getting a tdi diesel on it. If I’m lucky it will work. Lol
Can’t wait to see you finish this up
Thanks man. Me too!! I’ve been away from Arnie for about 6 months. So not much is happening right now. Hoping to get back at it in a couple months here.
Frame splice looks good
Thanks man. Appreciate that. I agree, it turned out pretty good for my first one.
The 7.3 Power Stroke swaps are much better and the new 6.7 Power Stroke are even better!
Everyone is entitled to his opinion. I went cummins because I don’t wanna run a computer. 7.3 you need to run a computer. That was the major deciding factor. Plus Cummins came in Fords all the time in the big trucks. Thanks for your support of the channel.
As well, I’ve ran both engines. Cummins hands down gets better fuel mileage. For what it’s worth. Haha.
Just wondering. Was there any specific reason you didn't go with a 4x4 chassis?
It’s on a 4x4 chassis. 99 F350 4x4.
@@chilliewilliesmedia sorry must have missed that. Looks great. Look forward to ur next episode
Great looking truck. I am planning a 12 valve Cummins swap for my 1974 Ford F-250 camper special 2wd soon. Any tips????
Just remember what motivated you to do it and keep plugging away!
Hey , miss you and Arnie! Hope things are going well for you. It’s tough out there right now
Hey man, I miss Arnie too. I haven’t seen him for a while. We are currently not in the same location. Hope to see him in the future. Not sure when that is. Sorry about that.
I really like your firewall plug for the wiring...do you have a link for where you got that? Great project you have going there. I'm doing a similar one...1958 Dodge body swap. Thanks for sharing the progress on yours!!
mavenspeed.com/collections/b2t-engineering
Awesome man! You should make a electric diagram about this lights! Keep it coming!!
Thanks man. I could make a diagram. There is lots out there. After I have all the lights installed I will go over the wiring for you on video. Thanks for the support of the channel!!
Wiring is my least favorite task. I hope you get it mobile soon and can start enjoying it
Yeah man!! Even to move it around would be satisfying. Start enjoying it even while working on it.
What a coincidence, I’m right at the beginning of this stage on my bump side project! What a wealth of good suggestions. Thank you!!!
That’s awesome!!! I’m glad it is helping you on your project!!
Looking real nice! Peace out dude !
Peace!! ✌🏻
Where is this place?

@@chilliewilliesmedia thanks👍🙋♂️
I think your level of detail is just about right. You do a good job of skipping the obviously boring stuff, but take the time to explain how you accomplished some of the oddball parts. That really helps guys like me who are building similar trucks come up with different solutions for all the problems you run into on these builds. Keep up the good work!
I really appreciate that comment. I wanna be super informative, yet not boring. Appreciate the feedback!!
Good job! You have the only in-depth cummins swap videos I can find. I am getting ready to build a '78 crewcab with a cummins and these videos have been extremely helpful. I will start my build with much more information and ideas. Thanks for the great content, keep it coming!
Right on man!! Glad to hear that. Appreciate the love and support. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the shop but plan on cranking out a video here shortly!! Stay tuned for more content!!!
This is just my opinion, I get the gist. For me, I just like the updates. Just interested in your creativity on how it turns out along the way. I've done enough of the fab work; just want to see someone else's ideas. With the tools you have you are doing very well... Keep it up and keep on grinding
Keep on trucking
Cummins needs to help you up!!! Dodge in a FORD, come on... I like what you are doing. Love ford, but Cummins is the best diesel; so if you are listening Cummins, help 🆘 this man build his channel!!! I look forward to this build and many more
Keep killing it
Thanks man!! Appreciate that. I’m trying haha. Thanks for the support of the channel!!
A lil behind on your channel, but I'm catching up
Better late than never man!! Thanks for catching up!! 😀
Doing good...
Thanks!! Appreciate the love!!
Truck is looking good Brother excellent job engine sounds strong also. Any chance you can do a video arnie going down the road once its done.👍👍👍
That will be a video for sure!! As soon as it moves on it’s own power there is going to be a video for sure my friend!!! Can’t wait to video it for you!!!
Hey, I know it’s a huge pain to setup camera and worry about lighting and clear shots but I really appreciate the details. I learn something from you on every video that would just be glossed over if you were just doing overviews. As always, Thank you for the excellent content!
Hey thanks for that!! It’s always good to hear feedback from my viewers. Because hey, why else would I be making videos if no one is watching them? 🤣 Thanks for your support of the channel!!
Saludos desde México Sigue subiendo videos
Gracias tío, se lo agradezco, saludos desde Canadá.
Always good to include extra info helps the next guy out or anyone doing research for their project! Love the power seats man!!
Thanks man, appreciate the feedback. Only thing is I don’t want my videos getting to large. 10-20 minutes max is what I try to aim for. Takes about 8 hours of work for a 10 minutes video on average. Haha. Don’t want you guys getting bored with my content.
@@chilliewilliesmedia I head ya man I don’t mind longer vids if they’re informative but I know other ppl don’t. I’m sure it’s hard to cater to what everyone wants! Seems most good popular vids stay around 15 to 20 so I’d say you’re right on track. Keep it up
Looking Real NICE ! When are they going to open up the gates and let us here in the lower 48 come up and visit friends and relatives !
Thanks, appreciate that. But as for friends, haha. That’s a commodity I’m in short supply. 🤣
For a guy who claims he doesn’t have more than 1 project on the go at a time you are getting a rather large Ford Hoard. If you want some door glass I have both sides for a bumpside in my garage. I live in Saskatoon and I’ll be home late Friday if you’re interested.
Hoarding Fords isn’t technically a project it’s a collection. I’m currently working on Arnie. Collecting parts technically isn’t a project. Only one project on the go. 🤣 A guy can always dream. 💭
