As much as i love donington, for some reason i can never go quick round here, however some tweaks to the car and a little coaching from area motorsport, both cars are now consistently lapping in the 17s!

last minute track day, previous PB was set in time attack a few months ago on nankang crs at 1.56.8, ive had a geo tweak and was using up some old AR1 tyres so was not expecting to beat the previous time (wasnt trying too either - it just happened)

only 15th lap or so round the ring - still unsure of where I'm going and still learning, first time back here since before covid. Having fun chasing a Porsche GT4 and then Mischa in a yellow honda NSX beyond that

Fastest lap of the day (from the final session) and was able to beat my previous PB from earlier this year of which was just over 54s, now into the 53s!

Attacking the clock in qualifying session a little too quickly and aggresivley as my tyres were not up to correct temp or pressure...well this is what happens.....i was so lucky to have no significant damage other than to the undertray.

My quickest lap of the day in the final, ,my previous PB round the national layout was 1:21, now nearly 1.5 seconds quicker than last year, with still alot more time in me and the car Lap was quick enough to snatch P1 with 3mins of the session remaining by 4 tenths.

My quickest lap of the day from Round 5 of Time Attack UK at Oulton Park Tunerfest North on the International Circuit. This also set the lap record for clubman class on this circuit layout (usually island in previous years). This also set a new PB for myself round Oulton, by just over a second. Having finish P1 in class by 3 tenths in qualifying and smashing by PB by half a second, it was time to see if i could go any quicker in the final, and if i could get onto that top step of the podium spoiler, yes I did

This is where it starts to get serious within time attack with points now being awarded for where you finish against the rest of your class, with the quickest time picking up the points. My previous PB was 55.1 but i just beat that in the previous warm up session at 55.06. The goal was to get into the 54s and as always try and finish P1 in class.

Nice! Any cooling/overheating issues on track? I'm thinking of an FK8 as a daily/track slag. Is the car standard or fettled?
Yes, they tend to overheat on track coolant wise in stock form, some little improvements you can do such as facelift grille or even js racing one, aluminium rad like a koyo, then an upgraded intercooler to help heat soak even then its still not perfect compared to other cars

380ish on this map, had some issues with the brakes so had no confidence on them, turns out pads were on the way out (despite 5mm on them at lunch) and fell apart to bare metal on way home
