You can usually get any of those types of kits to sound good if you switch out the heads to better ones. None of those kits have good cymbals. They are cheap, poor, sounding tin. One problem with this kit is the cloth pulls on the bass pedal and high-hat. They give a bad response, stretch out, and break easily. If the kit does not at least have chain driven pedals, avoid the kit at all cost. Even still....with better tuning and some dampening on the drums, they can even sound better than how they are. As a kit to learn on and hopefully upgrade later(better drum heads and better cymbals), it can be an ok kit to learn on.

nice, I just updated the high hat with 8 inch zildjians, sounds really good, practical and portable, hopefully will do the skins soon

These kits are a nightmare out of the box but if you change the skins, tune it, buy a bass drum pedal and add good cymbals then you have a deal 😂
Hey! I started taking drum lessons for past 2 months, i'm using this kit for practice since its only one I have. Its working out pretty good, just when I go to the practice, their kit it feels so huge compared to this one 🤣

Hi, yes its "lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter" so you can plug in the usb mic and charge at same time. Its been a while since I've tried it but you might not have to charge it at same time.
I saw a Stagg mini drumkit in the store, and wound up buying it. I replaced the plastic batter heads with Remos and Evans, and I use "real" (Zildjians and Paistes) cymbals with it, dampened the snare slightly with tape, and it's kind of astonishing how passably good it is. The smaller size is fun... that's what she NEVER said... And now it's my main rig for doing my hobby of recording one and 1/2-chord garage rock songs by myself.
@gwugluud I see a pack that has 3 of the sizes I need but says its for Tom's. Would "Tom" skins work for bass drum or is it better to get one specific that says "bass drum"?

I have a beginner drum kit and when I first got it I did not know how to use it. When I started learning easy drum beats on TH-cam, I began to become better at the drums. I have been playing for about 8 months now, and I am really really good at the drums. Drumming like a pro way. Over the months I learned how to tune drums and muffle them. Soon I got new drum heads and they sound better then they were before. And I gotta say. You are pretty good behind the drums. Keep it up 👍👍👍

I suggest getting it from apple in-store or online, so that you know it's genuine.
Just ordered the blue set for my 4 year old because obviously he's too small for our regular kit. Glad to see you like it. I'm wondering how well my double bass pedal will fit in on it.

How did you get yours to work? Mine says that the microphone uses too much power even with the full Apple adapter.
Hi Brandon, you have the white adapter and which takes the usb and the apple charger right? it works for me as long as I have both of those plugged in, open garage band, and then plug in. I followed Pete Johns example th-cam.com/video/Sc-_LiuqiRA/w-d-xo.html except I didnt have to use the usb power bar.

Hey Gamer Rade, sorry for late reply. I think you would have more satisfaction learning on a junior set rather than a kid size. They're around $300 usd, I think pearl has a 5pc. You could get away with it on this set but might have to do some modifications, get better heads, throne, cymbals.

When you connecting to ipad is there any additional electric power required ? It's getting power from iPad directly ?
Arpan sorry for delay in response, you need a cable that can add power also, the ipad is not enough. In the video I use the lighting cable that comes with another port to plug in apple charger. There is also a power USB hub that will work also, a youtuber named Pete Johns explains this, he is a very good resource. : )

Hi Braulio, when i plugged it into an Iphone for video recording it picked up the mic but i had to use the usb/charger to lightning cable that I mentioned in the video. I can try later on to see if it hooks directly into iMovie. I'll respond to this message

Hi Rocky , yeah you did make the video 🙂 I’m definitely getting one of these based on what I heard from your recording, just can’t find one in Australia at the moment, so have to wait. A friend of mine uses the Samson Meteor mic and it really seems to bring out the acousticality of his guitar so definitely must be a USB thing .🙂

Hey mate, you asked about the G Track Pro , the other day ? Did you get an answer about it from anyone ? ...I'm actually thinking I might just bite the bullet soon and just buy one. But why would I need to buy a usb hub as well if I use the usb3 to lightning adapter ?..Would love to know your thoughts as I've never bought a usb mic before . Cheers mate 😊
Hey Gerard! I got the G Track Pro a couple days ago, I will start working with it on Friday, I got an answer from Pete Johns, have you heard of him? He has a lot of good resources, he recommended this review from someone else th-cam.com/video/717V0Wr23BU/w-d-xo.html , the thing with most of the reviews online is they dont really go into how they interface with iOS/iPad, which is what i'm using, I plan to make a video explaining that detail. Pete Johns talks about the usb power hub (has to be the right one, not a charging station), the g-track needs more power to function, the usb3 lightning cable is not enough power. I'll let you know as soon as I set it up. Cheers!

I didn’t think of asking him because I know he doesn’t have the G track , and actually sent Patrick a message but he never answered. @@gerardvinar Hey Gerard, the mic interfaces well, I'm learning garageband still so it took me a bit to figure out how to record two tracks at same time, that was fun. It picked up my bass guitar really good through the instrument input, I couldn't speak through the mic loud enough bc family is sleeping, overall good experience. I did a test without USB hub, it actually works if you have the USB to lighting w/power input, it's the apple cable that takes both the USB and you can charge your iPad or iPhone also. So I didn't need the USB hub after all.
