ROAD TO FIRST SQUAD SOLO WIN #2 - SO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!
Pariston was genuinly sad , but at the same he was basically one of the most if not the most terrifying along with the dead chairmans son
0:32 when Pikachu and Tony Tony Chopper's voice actress Ikue Ōtani gets pissed its honestly startling. So accustomed to scared/cute/sweet voices. Also the 2011 Pariston voice actor Hiroki Takahashi voiced Hisoka in the 1999 anime.
Pariston lost his pinkie pie😢poor brony
"King of hippies"
I’m reading catcher in the rye rn😂😂
This was almost my reaction to reading Catcher in the Rye: I heard about the controversy with John Lennon and David Chapman, but the book itself, aside from some swear words, was very mundane.
They should've had more Beatles references.
@@BigguBosu117 No. How do you sleep at night?
Hot Take: “A Clockwork Orange” is better than “Catcher in the Rye”. Also, Alex Delarge is a better protagonist.
can we PLEASE read this RIGHT NOW
This series really nails classroom life
lots of people in the comments who sympathise with him don't even realise his true intentions.
The Catcher in the Rye? Shit that book's NOTHING. They should have had the kids read Blood Meridian instead. They definitely wouldn't have been disappointed in THAT ONE if they wanted non stop violence and vulgarity. That book would've given them much more than they bargained for.
I read catcher and the rye and I agree with south park it was the dumbest most fucking retarded piece of garbage ever
CAN WE PLEASE READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW lololololol
I had the misfortune of having to read this in 9th grade. It was a pointless book, the protagonist was just a brat.
This book sucked so overrated
Still make me cry every time I watch this. (The anticipation of Rebirth is nearly here.)
Something tells me Eric Cartman hates the Beatles in particular John Lennon
Well, to be fair, John Lennon was actually a pretty vile person.
Hahaha king of the hippies
My high school teacher said pretty much the same thing when she assigned this book to us. Safe to say I had the same reaction to reading it as Cartman did. That book was straight assjuice.
In high-school we were assigned "where the red fern grows." Amazing book class unanimously loves, some didn't even give the book back... so we were lookin forward to the book next year and it was some Shakespeare garbage... needless to say every year it was trash, and soon we all hated books
Read that one in middle school. It was pretty good and I hadn't read Old Yeller yet so that was my first dead dog(s) story
Holden was molested by his teacher
Seriously, am I the only person who was taught to follow the rules as a kid? Because I swear, any time I read the comments on TH-cam (or at least on _South Park_ vids), it seems like everyone was that one group of naughty/edgy kids at school.
stan marsh its just like holden fr fr
Nah cause Stan is just like him fr
The dub translation to this scene lowered the intensity by so much
Him
I personally love Catcher. When you remove all the bullshit surrounding it and other people's concocted "views" on it and just read it for what it is, it's actually a good read. The dated language and way of life fascinates me, plus the idea of a teenager just casually spending a few days away in New York on his own is literally unheard of today.
I always felt sorry for the character, he goes through all this pain and comes away liking it and wanting more. Dude was a gluten for punishment.
"Be mature about its adult themes and language," says the show FULL of adult themes and language. 😂
And yet has an immature fanbase
That's the joke. The Book is pretty tame in comparison to what you find everywhere today
Who does this voice come from??
It's Marlene's
I am still trying to figure out why this book was required reading in my high school. There had to be better choices but I guess teachers just love to make kids read stuff that is so "controversial". Also, we had to read Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, because it got banned in Russia. Yes, that is how we were choosing books back then.
Great video! 😍
Damn I love this scene, it has to be one of the top moments from hxh for me (which is kinda hard to believe). Netero was my favorite character and Pariston is definitely up there.
The media actually influenced him to kill john lennon
Jadi kangen game ff7 di ps1
Wendy’s already a quarter through the book 😂
Im in peace listening to this ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
WOAH! You’re telling us this book is filthy, inappropriate, and made a guy shot the king of hippies? Can we please read this RIGHT NOW!
Cartman, what made you think John Lennon was the "King of Hippies"? He wasn't and he still isn't even though he's not with us! 😤😠 You know this book made two more men kill or almost kill someone, not just the horrible monster. It made a guy almost kill Ronald Reagan, and it made a guy kill a famous actress. In my head: Glad Cartman wasn't alive during the sixties. But Cartman's reaction after he read the book is the only thing I agree with him. I read the book in middle school and I didn't get the plot. There was no parts where Holden was somewhat happy in the book, I was surprised the school made us read a book with swear words, and whatever answer I wrote for questions or essays I failed it. So screw Catcher in the Rye! 😠 It should've stayed banned until we all decide to burn every single copy of the book.
@@lisettegarcia7013 Is there any hippie more famous than John Lennon? Like maybe Jerry Garcia but still it's John Lennon
👮🏿♀️
Catcher in the rye was boring af and really bland. I remember reading it and I'd think watching sitting in a padded room would've been more entertaining.
my 4th grade teacher recommended this to me and i read this shit at like 9
We just started reading this book at school this week lol
I’m currently reading this in school
as someone who has read this book, I can confirm that it makes me want to kill john lennon
OP is a real G for putting the assassin's name in the description so I wouldn't have to Google it.
It's actually a summary of the Final Fantasy 7 game
Jist finished reading Catcher in the rye a few days ago just because this episode and my opinion of the book was the same as Cartman's after reading it, thoguht he was exagerating
Cartman's reaction after reading the book is also me when I get to chapter 3 or chapter 4. I don't get the plot and I don't know why Holden is complaining about his life. When I try answering the questions about the book or write an essay about it and turn it in, I get an F. When I ask the assistant teacher(s) in my class about the book or say I don't get the plot, they tell me they don't get the plot either. That's what I think about Catcher in the Rye. I also want to burn every copy of it too after what it's done to people.
@lisettegarcia7013 he is a boy who lost his younger brother , flunked every subject and was sexually harassed . I mean , the only person he trusts that's not phoebe (Mr. Antolini) tries to molest him as well , making him live his trauma again and beheading his trust. Really, how can you not hate everything when you're someone like holden , and let's not forget that his older brother is in Hollywood, his other brother died and phoebe is like smart and young so he was basically neglected all his childhood, just think about the inferiority complex about having 2 brothers and a sister and being the fail .
one vid wonder, you're washed kid
Seems like perfect timing for this episode to air during the Spring 2010 semester at my alma mater, which it eventually became the present-day SUNY Adirondack later that year. I actually tuned into this episode right around the time I chose to read that novel as part of an assignment for an English course I took at that point.
This was how my high school English teacher sold The Great Gatsby to us.
At least the great Gatsby had drug kingpins during prohibition, adultery, and murder. Catcher in the rye seemed cool, when your like 12
@@johnindigo5477 I mean I liked The Great Gatsby enough, I can see why it's considered a classic, but it still wasn't near the hype my teacher gave.
My teacher advertised Animal Farm in the opposite format. A simple story about animals running their own farm, wholesome! It was, in fact, not as simple, nor sweet as I thought it was going to be. That book got me into reading, and i will love it for that reason.
What episodes was this
