I'm not an artist or a painter. God didn't give me a good hand to paint. But my heart strives to paint and I'm sure that most of you feel the same. I found that a photograph can be turned into a nice-looking painting with the help of modern technologies.
For the last few years, I've been experimenting with all available software and applications in this area. And this is amazing how the technology has recently progressed by introducing new photo editing and painting applications for mobile devices which can produce even better results than the computer programs.
Here in my Channel I'm posting short videos on how I evolve some simple photos into different styles of digital "painting". For those who are interested to learn in details how I do it, you are welcome to visit my site at www.photo2paint.com.

Unfortunately, Adobe has removed this feature with the latest updates as of 06/22/24
How did you do this? Video to image, image to painting then animate?
I was a bit experimenting here )). I took short video clip of a flying bird. Imported into Photoshop. Made frame rate shorter, applied generative fill painting techniques to each frame. Took a bit of time but...
Oh my! Just found this. Wow! Did I ever learn a bunch. Thanks so much
Great job, Yuri!
Hi I hv just seen bravo tell me which tablet u r using. Ang price
iPad
what plugins?
How come your interface is different from mine in Icolorama app? I have downloaded the app on my iPad but the interface is different.
I did my tutorial before the iColorama update where they changed UI a little bit. There were just few buttons and icons changed in the app but their functionalities stay and position stay the same
Thank you!! So helpful!
Amazing
If I study with you, I will be able How many percent of the photos are made into oil paintings that look like the originals?
Nice tutorial ✨
Excellent video Yuri. Thank you.
Amazing! But why are my paint brushes are just repeating textures, which look really ugly. Other people don't seem to have that
Try to do the following: Go to Settings-Tracing and turn off the "Mix with layer colors" slider. This should help.
I watched the whole video, so helpful. But I wanted to delete an image from IColorama and was not able to find a way to delete entire image. Is that not possible? I am googling, but can't seem to find an answer that way, either. Thanks so much.
Andrey, there is no option in iColorama to delete an image. The only way is to upload a new image or create a canvas from the top left corner icon. This way, you previous image will be kind of deleted or replaced. Hope it helps.
you taught nothing

Just wanted to say that commentary in your own voice is infinitely better than an AI/Auto voiceover like you have for some videos
Thanks for comment. Yes, that was my try and mistake. I do all my new tuts with own voice now.
How I can download your brushes? Thank you for great video!
I have full course on iArtbook on www.photo2paint.com. The brushes are available at this course
This was such a great teaching tutorial. I have 2 questions. First I have a very nice gaming laptop. Could anyone suggest a pen and tablet that could be used with Windows 11 and art rage. My second question is if I were to purchase an ipad which ipad would be a reasonable choice to create art like this. I also assume that the apple pen would have to be purchased separate from the ipad. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Hi, I use Wacom Intuos Pro and it works just fine with any program. iPad Pro of course is better due to its performance. However, ArtRage also works fine on lighter iPads.
This app is awesome. BTW so too is your video
Hello Mr. Yuri. I have been following you since the first versions of fotosketch and have benefited greatly from your information. However, when I want to have AI paint portraits in Photoshop beta, some of them do not look like the real thing. Even though I try masking the brush with Quick Mask, sometimes 1 layer, sometimes 2-3 layers, I get very irrelevant results. I cannot become a paid member of your website yet. you have custom photoshop beta videos there. I wonder if there are platforms like Patreon etc. Can I watch those videos if I pay for a cheap monthly membership? Or can you tell me the reason for the dissimilarity? Am I missing a detail? Thank you very much.
Hello, friend. Please go to my site www.photo2paint.com. You will find support page there. Please write me thru support form so I would receive personal message PM from you. I will arrange you access. Yuri
I immediately wrote about your website with excitement. Thank you very much in advance.@@photo2paint206
that is such a fun way to paint. its not my ideal workflow but when you just want to enjoy yourself without focusing too hard and get a nice result, it's such a fun way to paint. i would have never thought of tracing and underpainting this way. its so different and less tedious than how ive always done it
glad you liked it. I have full tutorials on my website www.photo2paint.com
Hi Yuri, thanks for all your videos on Photos to paintings. I am just starting out with this and your videos are very helpful. Question, you mention a link to download your brushes but I don't see any link. Are they no longer available? Thanks
Hi, they are available at my full course under subscription at www.photo2paint.com. I'm actually going to update the brushes because the app changed a bit brush settings and need to be updated. I'm going to post a video shortly about that.
where I can find your course, where is the link to your store?
the link is in the description: www.photo2paint.com
and here is direct link to the courseL photo2paint.com/course/photoshop-generative-fill-photo-painting/
Such a wonderful tutorial, thank you so much. You took your time and made it easy to follow. Love the results.
Really? One of the worst "tutorials" I've come across on YT. Hard to understand the English, random screens and mouse clicking around the screen for 3 1/2 minutes... utterly pointless. This is NOT an intro, it's a hot mess.
So?? Whats your way?😏
This is just intro. Whole course about my way is on my website )))
@@photo2paint206 Good grief.
Very good video! Is there any alternative app like this for Android which has comparable drawing features? With my nice Samsung Tablet i would be happy to do the same kind of 'painting' 🙂
Thank you
Thank you Juri. Can you add more tutorials generally
Yes, I'm working now on new tut related to Generative Fill in Photoshop. I developed my way of doing it ))
Thank you sir, from India
Great👏
Paint can is not for Android.
So glad to see this posted.
Are these part of the courses? And will there be additional details?
Nicky, no, the courses are much more detailed. This is just explaining my view, my way of photo painting.
@@photo2paint206 love it... can't wait for your course on Realistic!
What a great job you do! So enjoying the classes! There is always something new to try and you do such a good job in describing how to do them.
Thanks Janet, you are a great learner!
Everytime I start a picture I have to finish it because it doesn't save under My Progress. If I lose internet or go away for 5 minutes, I lose it all.
I didn't have such issue. Try to re-install iArtbook. And restart your iPad. This might help.
Hi Yuri-good stuff, thank-you. I have been trying to check out one of the courses on your site but there is no way I have found to pay. The pages are looped so when you click on enroll it takes you to a page that says you must enroll. Trying to get in touch but dont see an email or contact page anywhere. Cheers!
Hi, thanks for contacting. There is short issue with Paypal payment gateway which I'm resolving now. Should fix it in a day. My PM is photo22paint@gmail.com
Please try it again. The enrolment should be working now: photo2paint.com/contact/
Awesome courses Yuri. Thank you. 🎉.
Glad you liked it Nicky. And thanks for support.
Thank you for sharing your journey ❤️I totally agree 🙌
I intended to post this, sooner: If I discouraged any of you from signing up for Yuri's courses in my other posts, my apologies to all. The problem was as much my fault, or maybe even more so than Yuri's, because in trying to contact him, I initially entered the wrong e-mail address - twice, DUH! Once, I corrected it, and got it right, I heard from Yuri upon receipt, and presto, I was able to access his courses. I am now thoroughly enjoying and learning all he has to offer in those tutorials. I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested. And to you, Yuri, my most sincere apologies for doubting you.
John, no problem. I'm happy that you and others like my courses. No need to apologise. It was my fault concerning access to course platform which I then managed to fix )))
@@photo2paint206 Thanks for the prompt response Yuri, I really appreciate it, I wish you well, and hopefully, you'll have lots of people signing up for your classes. Cheers!
Love what i am learning. Thank you. But I have problems: When I tap the image it does not return reveal the original image. The Smudge colors are different from the original. Please help
Frederick, which app are you refering to? I know you subscribed to my site. If you mean iArtbook, you can download and install my brushes whcih should work fine. Just follow my instruction on the video course. If still issues - pls email me at photo22paint@gmail.com
So happy to see part 2. Can’t wait for next one and to check out your updated site
Hey Karen! Long time no see.
How do I get Brush work software? reply with a link
Thank you very much for this new video 🙏🙏🙏

Hello Yuri, thanks for the prompt response, the broken hearted line was just a joke. I did subscribe to photo2paint, but it was when you had Telegram, and I'm unable to log on to photo2paint. I will send you another e-mail - my third one.
Here I am, broken hearted, paid my money and can't get started - 'cause I can't log on to my account. I tried entering my e-mail address and a password, but to no avail, I'm informed both are unrecognizable. I even tried changing my password but it's still unrecognizable. I'm confident you'll fix everything Yuri and I'll be able to start working on some photo painting projects. Anyone else with similar problems? I'd love to hear from you - thanks in advance. John
Hi John, Don't be broken hearted. Did you subscribe to www.photo2paint.com account?
John, pls PM me at photo22paint@gmail.com. I would need your email address to sign you in manually.
Can u pls tell me if theres a way to import abr Photoshop or other brushes?
