The Farm on US 87
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 2 มี.ค. 2016
Sharing the day to day of a family living life in the slow lane, on a 20 Acre farm in East central Montana.
This is the part of Montana without much of a tourism industry outside of hunting. No tv series, no posh resorts, no ski resorts and no famous rivers. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an Amazing area to live and Am truly blessed to be able have this life.
Living Life in a rural area requires multiple types of income streams and the need for DIY skills.
A sense of humor and patience have proven to be the most valuable of Life skills used on a daily basis.

Beautoful pair.❤❤
They are going from together, happy and free to tied up and forced to do what people want? Trained by physical 'correction' involving pain or discomfort ? I don't understand how that is a good thing.
@lululovesyou7618 To a degree I do agree with you but...... how do you know what training methods these people use? I'm completely against using "pain" to train any animal but there are a lot of good people out there that take the time to truly gentle an animal and not just push them beyond their limits. Let's try to give these people the benefit of the doubt please. ❤️
@@minioliver83grumpy25 I agree but I do believe pain is a strong comunicator like not to train them but to educate them and this migjt sound confusing but what I mean is when dealing with wild donkeys, horses, etc like this guy said they are not afraid of you and you need to show them that you are not afraid of them aswell they will often trie to harm you either out of fear or to establish dominance and it is sometimes aceptable to use pain yo defend yourself nd teach them that you don't want to fight but you will if you need to and that they won't win. Pain should always be a last resort only used to protect yourself, remenber that animals fight so this is one of there ways of setting boundaries and understanding everyones positions and u don't want to be seen as weak or afraid smart animals will take advantage of that. One other point I would like to make is that I am also a strong believer that domestication isn't all that bad, yess they were free and now they aren't but in the wild these animals fight each other, need to search for food, to avoid predators and they still moght die from illness from natural disasters or from bad wounds. Captivity may not be freedom but they have available food amd water protection against predators, someone to take care of wounds and illnesses and shelter from disaster after a whille they realize that, That's why a lot of cattle is raised freeroaming and still doesn't run away, that's why wild animals enter cities when you feed them, animals recognise when sometging is good and most of the times sticking around for assurance of their survival isn't a bad price to pay
@@minioliver83grumpy25there’s always gonna be that one person. Like you said, just because some trainers use harsh methods doesn’t mean everyone else does.

@@lululovesyou7618 It is great that you have their welfare in Mind. I do invite you to learn more about WHY they are not running free ( over populated , starving, crippling diseases ) etc A donkey cannot be trained with force or pain. Those who attempt to do so have flaws in their character and fail. Donkeys are smarter than most people and will only work under mutually agreeable terms.😄
They are adorable!!!❤
I think it'll be worth the work, they will make a very handsome driving pair! ❤❤❤
I agree!! They are gentling real quickly. Now, their real personality’s are showing! Which is juvenile goofs!! Will post up dates
@@MontanaCountryMan I look forward to seeing their progress!
They are pretty! I can’t wait to see the process of getting them harness trained
She didn’t get a piece of steak 💔

Most of the animals are horse's and mules but I think I saw 1 donkey in the bunch but the majority are horses.

Awe 🤎
The smartest Democrat I've seen all year 😅
Get this man on a basket ball court 😂🏀
Very relaxing to watch. I saw my dad work with 'greenies' too. Confidence and consistency lets the animal trust you. No treats until you become friends.
