I like walking around bad neighborhoods or city regions (Ex: Brownsville, Harlem, Jamaica, Kensington) to discover the conditions and see what they’re really like, and just walking through places in general. Usually I like to stick around New York City & Westchester County as that’s my home town, but on occasion I’ll branch out for other locations throughout the country.

I'm from NC been to Mount Vernon countless times. Soft area. Nohing dangerous about it besides the traffic at times.

@wamerica Bronx, Philadelphia, New Haven, Bridgeport, Hartford, Waterbury, Yonkers, Harrisburg, Newark, Trenton, East NY all harder and more dangerous Northeast cities/areas than Mount Vernon. The only time I felt danger in Mount Vernon was almost getting rear ended.
Fair enough but Mount Vernon also suffers through poverty and poorly-maintained structures.

Well you’ve got - Abandoned buildings and businesses - Graffiti - Loitering in the middle of the city - The west side is practically a ghost town - Poorly maintained structures or lots - Violence and crime
And this country wants to be the self declared hegemon of the world.

These might not be the worst/most dangerous streets in Yonkers, thankfully. I was actually planning to do the most dangerous street in the city (Elm Street) but couldn’t pull myself to do it. Too much danger.

@@malikjackson6628 Mount Vernon is known for crime, violence, and if you look at points in the video, (thumbnail as well) you’ll see some of the harsh conditions the city faces.
