Thank you for watching! 😊 There are 2 ways to do the pump, you can do it like I did, or you can get a pump that has an inlet hose, and put the pump in the waterfall. Either way you can hide the cords within the rocks or run it along the outside of the pond kinda under the dirt. But remember it’s there! Hoses are tougher to run, you have to be creative and sometimes it’s hard. I don’t like them outside of the water system because if you get a leak, the whole pond will empty! As for winter here in Pittsburgh, I shut the pumps down and use aerators until ice forms on top of the pond, then I turn on the pond heater and it keeps a small area open so the gases from the fish release. I lost a bunch a of fish one year when I didn’t realize the heat stopped. Gases couldn’t escape. Ugh! Fish go to the bottom and hibernate. You stop feeding them in the winter also. I start feeding them every other day to get them adjusted. Hope that helped and I was long winded there 😂
