Great Phendrana Drifts (4K GoPro Hero 6 Time-Lapse)
Experimenting the time-lapse feature of the GoPro Hero 6 during the "Beast from the East" storm (using 4K wide mode). And I always seem to get the Phendrana Drifts theme music from Metroid Prime stuck in my head when we get snowy weather like this! :)

Building a Recesky TLR Kit Camera (Timelapse Video)
มุมมอง 82011 ปีที่แล้ว
The Recesky Twin Lens Reflex camera is a fully working 35mm DIY kit camera. I put mine together this evening, which (despite some pretty poor instructions) was a lot of fun. I thought it might make a nice timelapse video and this is the result. Looking forward to going out and having a play with my new toy camera now! Equipment used: Canon EOS550D DSLR Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM JYC Inter...

A Short History of Ickworth Park
มุมมอง 4K12 ปีที่แล้ว
'A Short History of Ickworth Park' was shot around the park, house and gardens in Ickworth, near Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, UK. The film was written, produced, directed and presented by Cormac Scanlan. Special thanks goes to Vanessa Jarrold for her part in the video and audio recording. Technical Details: The sound was recorded directly to a Canon EOS550D, using a Lindos MiniSonic Mic Kit (as a...
Framlingham Castle (Documentary Style Test Footage)
มุมมอง 45912 ปีที่แล้ว
A short experiment in documentary film making, testing some sound and picture options in post-production. Please excuse the bad script / presenting, this was very much a test. Any constructive feedback on the audio, visuals and other technical factors would be appreciated though. Thanks.

Damn I must have watched this tape 20 times in the build up to me buying and N64 back in the day... Thanks for uploading!
Ha! Me too! Had the VHS way before the console!
Didn't know Kirby's Air Ride was supposed to be a N64 title.
I really like this, especially the wilder shots with clouds. Thinking that I would like to do this in a more remote beauty spot, but then realising that without a warm base I'd freeze to death doing it!
I may be able to translate the Japanese if you're interested? Could add English captions.
Sure. Feel free. :) Never added captions though, so not sure how it works. Will you need me to add them in, or can you do that directly? :)
Cormac Scanlan Actually, I think you'll have to put them in. It takes a long time so might not actually be worth it, haha!
Haha. No worries! :)
this is good man, you look comfortable playing finger style, i cant for shit lol. mastodon use it alot, listen to divinations intro, sounds sick in metal
tHe RiDdLeR - thanks man. Little bit sloppy as it was the day I got that guitar. Put elixir strings on it and it sounds and plays much nicer now. Yeah, I like fingerstyle. Probably do it more than playing with a pick now. Will check out that Mastadon track for sure.
Cormac Scanlan cool man. it sounds good! yeah that mastodon track it's only a few seconds at the start. But alot of there chorsuses that infant really hear have loads of it. scorpion breath has some on the intro too
Most interesting aspect has to be the aplha footage of Starfox and Mother 3, which I believe has been shown elsewhere but still nice to see a crystal clear transcription nice job!
Great Video! Although the dramatic singing music is kind of creepy!! Apart from that, great! :-)
Thanks Shirley. Glad you enjoyed it. It is indeed quite an awesome area of land. Must have been an amazing place to work! In the summer months at least! :)
Thanks Cormac for this beautiful and informative film about Ickworth! I used to work there as volunteer from abroad in the late 1990s and you've just reminded me of what it was like to work and live at such an unusual and extraordinary historic place.
Haha! Yeah it was somewhat overrated all right! :)
Call that a storm lad? I got trees snapped off and one ripped up by it's roots :-) Not serious though compared to 1987, but it would have made interesting viewing in time lapse if I'd known where to point the camera. Pete
I had a nice view of today's storm while working from home. Chelmsford looked onimous!
So I built my own (hopefully) fully working camera today! Check it out!
Spectacular! I like the way you incorporate slow tilts and zooms and the wide angle lens works well.
Looks awesome Cormac - nice work!
"Lapsing in London" is my latest time-lapse video, shot in a single day and featuring many iconic locations from the city. #timelapse #cinematography
Very nice, loved some of the shots - great work. My 2c: black was perhaps not the best color for the host and we all struggle with dynamic range - bright bright sky (unusual for UK :) and the house that was a little dark on some shots - time for the black magic cinema camera. I can't wait to get back to the motherland some day ....
Very professional - slow pans and tilts work well with the music to give a very smooth feel. Sound is good, although it's interesting how the lapel mic sounds muffled compared to the excellent off-camera sound which presumably was done facing the mic. I notice this on all professionally shot material though. Maybe we should experiment with a small head-mounted boom mic. Unusual house, and I'm left wanting to see inside.
Hi! You should be able to do that with the 400D with an intervalometer!
Very good! Don't think I can do that with my Canon 400d? may have to upgrade! Cheers.
