Astrea Bioseparations Ltd (formerly Prometic Bioseparations Ltd) has long been established as an expert in affinity chromatography and bioseparations. We provide custom adsorbents to solve client purification issues where standard solutions are either not suitable and/or available. Our custom services (Discover, Develop, Deliver…) include ligand design, adsorbent development, large scale adsorbent manufacture (up to 1,000L batch sizes) to GMP standards and GMP Ready pre-packed columns.

A total of 18 of Astrea’s adsorbents have been incorporated into FDA approved manufacturing processes which produce 12 approved pharmaceutical and medical products.

We can offer both standard ‘off-the-shelf’ adsorbents and bespoke adsorbents, which can be designed to meet specific purification/ manufacture criteria. These can be provided as adsorbents or pre-packed in EvolveD™ GMP Ready Columns. We also supply a range of ‘semi-disposable’ bioprocess columns - Evolve™ Bioprocess Columns.
