1970 Chevy C10 Walk Around 4k
มุมมอง 2.2Kปีที่แล้ว
During this Classic Car Alert I will show you a very clean and mostly restored 1970 Chevy C10. What you will notice as we walk around this pickup is that it has been repainted the original Chevy 504 Medium Olive, the color the car was originally painted at the factory over 50 years ago. Though it now has chrome bumpers instead of white, this truck is mostly original. Filmed in 4k.
1970 Chevy C10 Full Restoration
มุมมอง 39Kปีที่แล้ว
This video documents the restoration of a 1970 Chevy C10. This truck was purchased in February of 2021 and was back on the road by August of 2022. The truck was purchased and restored in Southern California. This is my truck, my daily driver that my Dad and I restored at his house. This was by no means a professional restoration job, but I think we did a pretty good job. Like and Subscribe if y...

Some of the Chevy/GMC trucks that attended the Brother's Truck Show at Oak Canyon Park California on June 12, 2022.
I just need a paint job and a rewiring to make my truck decent. I had the time and/or money I'd go full primo restore. I've cared for my C-10 for the past 44 years, so I know what I got.
This video earned you a sub👍

Nice
Thanks
Beautiful. My dad gave me the old farm truck when I started driving. It was a 1972 C-10 Deluxe. Forest green on the body and a light green cab top. I wish I had it back. I was 15 and had a little job that barely paid enough to put gas in it. We were together until I was 18. Three years seemed like a decade to me looking back. I’m 57 now and have the money to fix one up. My kids are grown and gone. Thanks for sharing your experience with restoring that beautiful Chevy to her glory days.
Thanks for checking out the video, maybe you will find another 72' deluxe one day.
Love the color
Me too. The paint is Chevy Medium Olive.
You and your father did a Great Job!
Thank you!
Looks damn nice!
Nice restoration, enjoy it and the memories. Looking forward to start on mine. Will restore instead of hot rodding this one. 1968 short fleet side bed, large window, 6, three speed manual. Third owner, second to actaully drive it. Forest green w/white top.
Thanks for checking out the video, good luck on your restoration. Forest green and white sounds nice, I like the two tone trucks.
I am told that original patina was priceless... may I ask how much you paid for the truck itself (not the full cost of the restoration)?
$4500, patina will always come back if have the truck long enough.
@@ClassicCarAlert-sc1rg Many thanks for the reply...
very good video
Thanks for checking it out.
Very nice!! I’m working on a 69 right now. Absolutely love the 2nd gen C10s!!
Yes, I love them too. It's a great truck.
How much was it ?
Like to c finish truck. Very sharp
Great restoration, beautifully done! Get your dad a mask for when he paints!
I purchased respirator's for both of us for painting. He had one but rarely used it.
I had a 1970 C/10 Suburban back in the 80s.... I put a ton of miles on it... so glad I even had one... great job on this build
Thanks for checking out the video.
Great truck! I paid $1200 for a 69 CST/10 396 pick-up in 1987.. rebuilt the engine and drove the everlovin daylights out of that truck for many years.. I still have it.. gonna restore it for my daughter..
That sounds great, she will be lucky to have it.
Are you sure the original paint/ color code was olive green ? There looks to be alot of red on the cab.
Yes, exterior of the truck was Medium Olive, option number 504 in 1970.
Great job !
Thank you.
What was the original motor. We just bought one and wanted to see if the original motor was in it.
This C10 came with a 350. Check to see if you still have a service parts id sticker in the glove box of the truck, it will tell you what options your truck had when it was originally purchased. You can also run the vin number on the engine to see if it was ever replaced.
🏆🍀👀✌️
love it
Thanks for checking out the video.
Sweet C10, man! My dad had one like this except it was a 3 spd manual straight 6. It got hit by rhino in the side so sported a very large dent behind the cab for a long time afterwards. My dad was a game ranger in South Africa. He had a '72 C10 Custom Fleetside at his next Game Reserve as😂 well which was really comfortable on long dirt corrugated roads.Ony problem is it kept getting bogged down as it was only 2wd so he was issued a Toyota Landcruiser FJ45.
There probably haven't been too many C10's that have gotten hit by a Rhino, what a story. Thanks for checking out the video.
You did excellent job I am surprised you didn’t install disc brakes.
Thanks. The extra stopping power of the disc brakes would be nice, but I just decided to go with the booster.
Absolutely stunning! Great job!!! Thanks for the helpful video! A+++++
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
There ain't nothing wrong with long bed pickups! Congrats on keeping it long!
I agree, nothing wrong with a long bed. I wanted to keep it original.
