You were actually super close to seeing my review, I talked about how assists aren’t rewarding despite the emphasis riot games has on them
@@Armando.L.7 Oh man, that’s insane! But you’re completely correct. They need to reward assists to players like R6 does
@@KoryBGaming I agree with you, games like R6 do it amazing justice. I noticed Valorant not rewarding assists and especially barely giving you combat score for it creates a toxic space since people are basically taught to overlook your assists and only care about your kills; not good for a healthy player environment
@@Armando.L.7 i think it has something to do with the different ways you can get assists, like some dude walking out of a smoke you threw 8 years ago and dying is an assist, but doing 49 damage to every player on the enemy team is 0 assists. Full flashing someone and then having your teammate whiff half their mag and then get an rng headshot is an assist, though it was 100% your actions that got your teammate the kill. I guess (do)rito games thinks that the majority of assists will come from some random smoke or half blind you throw without having any influence on if a teammate gets the kill or not.
@@mayomynaise That system definitely needs a rework then because that’s exactly why if I damage someone and then die in the process, I still get an assist if they accidentally fall off the map. It’s very strange to see that. It’s not often that I’ll see someone get an assist because of some happy accident, it’s always because of a teammates flash or prior damage. And stuff like that needs to be rewarded. Hopefully that stuff gets visited and changed to start rewarding assists
