Carwash Water Ozone and Bio Test part 2
This time we use bio (blu bio) as a pre-treatment to ozonation. Because carwash water has so much "stuff" in it, the ozone breaks down quickly into oxygen, which hyper-activates the bio enabling it to eat up the soap (surfactant), oil, wax, grease and other organic contaminates. The two together work in a symbiotic way, the ozone clears up the color and odor, and the bio uses the leftover oxygen to eat up the other contaminates more quickly. The two work better together. I hope you enjoy watching this amazing and all natural technology at work. It uses only air, electricity and a naturally occurring bio product (although trained to eat car wash contaminates) that is EPA approved and has earned their Safer Choice award.

Treating Carwash Water With Ozone part 1
มุมมอง 622 หลายเดือนก่อน
We use ozone, which is three molecules of oxygen (O3) to treat carwash water. Ozone is stronger than chlorine and is MUCH safer to use. It's created from air and electricity and is a powerful oxidant in cleaning up carwash water. It kills odor and harmful pathogens and also clears up the water in short order. Please enjoy this little demo. Products used: K1 ozone generator: waterreclaim.com/ite...

This video shows what goes on inside the reclaim tanks underground. 1. Dirty water from wash flows from trench into tank one 2. Tank 1 is a separator where the oil floats on top and the sediments sink. 3. The best water from the center is transferred to tank 1 section 2, where it is ozonated. 4. The ozone removes the color, BOD and COD, and gets rid of residual oils. 5. The sanitized water move...

Test your Multimeter DMM before replacing sensors

Before replacing a $250 sensor It's good to make sure your meter is working. Not only have a good meter but test it from time to time. A good tester we have found is at: dmmcheckplus.com Also having used lots of different meters I would recommend a good Fluke if you can afford one.
ion controller update, new controller and cells

Making things easier to install we combined the power supply and the ion controller into one package. We even have the entire ozone and ion system skid mounted for bigger installations. Ozone and ions are more affordable than you would think, check it out at www.waterreclaim.com or give us a call to talk about your water situation. (919) 528-1787
ozone and ion manifold update
มุมมอง 1426 ปีที่แล้ว
Three years in and working very well. We replaced the yellowing kynar ozone tubing with tygon and we replaced the copper cell in May. Running 60 minutes a day gave us the .01 ppm copper and about a two year cell life. So far since May, 4 months ago, about 1/8 of an inch of the cell has been used up. The Pentair Ultra-Temp was removed and sold after natural gas came to our area.
swimming pool ion cell close up

We use ions to be algae free in the pool, instead of chemicals like chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, ammonias or copper sulfate. In this close up you can see the ions going into solution. The ion controller is able to keep the electrodes from scaling up and runs automatically on a timer. The ions are also an effective anti-microbial and work well in the ozonated pool

Pressure Switch Adjustment

Pump priming problem found. Suction leak
can you adjust a 40 - 60 pressure switch to 10 - 30?
Hi Ronnel, short answer is no, you have a little adjustment each way, but they do make special pressure switches that operate on lower pressures but they are non standard and usually expensive. It's cheaper to run a 30/50 pressure switch and use a pressure reducing valve in order to obtain the pressure you want.
Well done. Explanations are crystal clean et visual.
Very good explanation. My pump os only goin on n off every minete n ah half. Ag gonna dig intonit now !!

Excellent video on the subject well done explain it simply and succinctly.
Clear explanation. Thank you so much.
Well done.
Finally a video that's to the point no extra blah blah blah to sit thru that only tends to confuse things. BTW I'm a 64yr.old widow of a wonder man who had a remodeling company. He was such a talented worker but not a great teacher. :)
Thank you, much appreciated. Glad to help. I've heard of wonder women but never a wonder man. Other than: "I wonder what that man is doing". Usually us guys are just OK at best... : )
Hi. This is fantastic. Can you do one with a low pressure cut off too? I’m having some issues with the low pressure cutting off when I adjust this. They had said the cut off was just a few pounds below my cut in. That does not give much leeway.
Have an on demand tankless water heater on a pump operated water system. Every time the pump cut in (20/40) the water heater would shut off ruining my shower. Followed your well done video and bumped up the pressure a few pounds and it silenced my bitchy wife. Thanks for you very well done video.
Glad to help. We have a tankless as well, and sometimes if the pressure isn't right you'll get a cold shower for a few seconds. It saves us a lot of money but it was finicky about pressure. We ended up installing a cycle stop valve and a larger ballast pressure tank to eliminate the pressure swings and now we have steady hot water. Hallelujah!
since my last post I followed the video instructions and bumped up the cut in pressure from 20 to 24. This seemed to resolve my issue with a cranky wife taking cold showers. @@reclaimfilterssystemsinc7529

By far the best explanation on how a pressure switch works. Thanks for sharing.

this is the best how to video, perfect.
I had a pressure box installed and the pump keeps starting every few seconds. The max is adjusted to 30lbs. Should I adjust the bigger screw counter clockwise or what would you suggest? This problem is driving me up the wall. I hope you may have a idea of how to fix the problem.
So it's normal to have water in your gauge? Interesting. Thought that might have been a problem
That's called a glycerin filled gauge. It's a stainless steel gauge filled with glycerin to prevent gauge bounce and vibration. If you've ever seen a gauge needle vibrate it's hard to make an accurate reading. Kind of a shock absorber for the needle and mechanism in the gauge.
@@russkeller5747 thank you for the explanation, makes total sense.

I don’t have an ORP meter on the pool. The ozone generator is a 0-10 gram per hour, K1 unit. We usually run it at 5 to 6. The dial reads from 0 to 10 and corresponds linearly to the output.
No one has really gotten into the guts like you have. I'm working on mine, I get to 34 PSI and it doesn't cut off, it just sits there and the contacts never separate. Frustrating, but I think I'll have to get a new switch, it's about 20 years old. Any ideas? I cleaned the contacts and if I tap on the pipe below sometimes I can get it to disengage for a second. I was hoping it was something easier than replacing the switch but, that doesn't look too bad. Subscribed.
At 34 PSI the contacts on a 30 to 50 or a 40/60 should be closed, energizing the pump so it keeps going to the cut off pressure of (50) or (60) psi. If the pump is not able to go higher than 34 psi there may be a pump issue or something is using water faster than the pump can push it. If you change the switch please make sure to cut power and drain water pressure first.
Is it safe to go higher on turn on turn off than 40/60.
no matter how much i tighten them down it doesnt do anything, we have very low water pressure here
Thank you for the video. If I installed 30-50 switch, is is possible to lower the pressure and make it 25-45.
Is there any harm in widening the differential to 30 lbs?
If the cut off only adjustment will go that high it will not hurt anything. I suppose you have a reason, but you are not doing the pump or water system any favors by having such a wide pressure sweep. Typically we adjust it up + 2 psi to give the pump a slightly longer run cycle and prevent the ON/OFF/ON/OFF cycling that could occur if the gap is too small, but widening it too much may result in a pump that never turns off or leaks from too much or too little pressure beyond the expected 30-50 or 40-60 psi.
@@reclaimfilterssystemsinc7529 Yes, I can adjust it that high, probably more. I was thinking that it would give less frequent pump cycling. My concern was that it might overstretch the tank diaphragm and cause premature failure.
@@rogerg4916 A Ha!, Ok common problem when the tanks (pump tank A.K.A. ballast pressure tank) start to go bad. The air-bladder starts to fill with water or the pressure in the bladder is to low, or both. With ZERO water pressure the ballast tank air pressure should be 28 psi using a 30/50 pressure switch, or 38 on a 40/60 switch. It’s the pump switch cut-in pressure minus 2 psi.
my pressure switch has only one adjustment it is a sta rite pump how do both adjustments with just one place to adjust ?
Hi Cliff: Sometimes smaller pumps with a built in pressure switch have just one adjustment for the range. It will be missing the cut off only adjustment. They seem to work OK and if you ever replace it you can install the better type with both. The Square D's are still OK but I really like the Merrill's Heavy Duty Standard no lead pressure switch. It has Allen key wire retainers and the contacts and contact plates are a bit beefier.
as others have said, excellent video. much appreciated!
Got it, haha. Thanks man!!
Pls make content about AOP (advanced oxidation process)..thx
can u share orrp level when ozone run..Thx

Thank you George. It was something that confused me at first but once you do what's going on it's not so bad.
Thanks for the demonstration, very thorough. Good video 👍
Man how Connect electric????
Hi Alex I don't understand the question. Are you asking how much money an electrician or plumber would charge to install a pressure switch? If so I can tell you precisely. It's more than you think... Learn all you can. Be Safe and do it yourself. Make sure the power and water are OFF before you work on it.
@@reclaimfilterssystemsinc7529 I managed to find its inputs and outputs, I tested it with the control lamp, it's simple! Thank you!
Thank you (911) Mother hen needs h20 for her chicks... Is there a way to do any adjustments without a working gauge on the pump or pressure tank. I bought the house and the pump was as is. The pump runs so far 20 min. and it never shut off. The pressure switch states that its calibrated at 30-50. I set the pressure , bladder tank at 28 psi with a pump. I don't know if the pressure switch is at the 30-50 factory settings. Is there a way to back out the screws and start over counting the turns. Or in a pinch get the pump to get water to the house. The pressure tank is empty and the pump just runs with out any water to house or well/trol pressure tank> Any help is appreciated.
Great easy to understand and clear explanation, got the where flowing again thanks
In Bar it’s 0.138 less that the on pressure. For example: That’s 2 psi under cut in, so for a 40/60 switch the pressure in the tank “dry” with zero pressure on the system and the pump off is 38 psi. Cut in 40 less 2 psi equals 38 psi. If the pressure is too high you may get water hammer, if too low then your pressure could drop suddenly when to use water and could cause an on/off/on/off… cycling of the switch which could ruin a pump motor.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
th-cam.com/video/Mm8FBHSiDks/w-d-xo.html What is the pressure switch is used in this machine?
Looks like a simple demand switch. When the nozzle opens and the pressure in the system drops it’s contacts open or close doing something like maybe mixing the aggregate. The type of switch depends on the pressure used. Once you know the supply pressure and the pressure drop when the nozzle is opened you can go to Grainger or McMaster Carr and look-up an appropriate switch to handle the load.
This was excellent. The psi graphic on the left made all the difference. Thanks.
In ground well pump ajustment
Thank you...what if my pressure goes to zero and the switchch on...what to do now?
If the contacts are closed and you have no pressure you start with (assuming you know how to use a multimeter) check power on both sides of the switch. Here in the U.S. it's usually 230VAC. If you have power and no water, you may have a bad pump. Lastly sometimes gauges go bad and can read zero but you can still have pressure. If all else fails, call a well driller or plumber in your area and they'll get it straight. Good luck
Excellent . Clear, concise and to the point. Didn't waste my time. Would be nice if others would do the same.
