Finally sub 50 and WR67 at the time of posting. Could be better had I been able to calm down on solve 2, which explains the reaction I had at the end. Apologies for the reaction though, was expecting a good solve with a 20s centers and edges. Seeing a 50.99 for that really ruined it. Got too nervous on the last solve also so oh well. Next time All in all, happy to have this average for now. 49....

Not particularly proud of the time, I was really gunning for that almost 50 or even sub 50 average but in the end the nerves got to me. I'm also slightly disappointed that I didn't get national champion due to the terrible performance I pulled off during finals. I got NR2. Getting 49 and 48 in the first two solve messed up my nerves a lot, but I guess it's just my skill issue. The PLL skip on the last solve really clutched the average. It doesn't pop but I have gotten some lock ups and misalignments
How similar is it to the valk? I remember trying out the valk and not getting along with it and have been mailing the WRM ever since it came out years ago I’m debating trying this when it releases or waiting (and hoping) MoYu releases updates to their big cubes with ball cores…
I'd say it's a completely different cube compared to the valk. It's much more similar to the aochuang wrm feeling wise than the valk. The valk is much blockier and fast but the Hong is slower, more stable and less blocky. If you're not sure I'd say try one at a comp near you and see if it suits your turning style

On solve 2 you immediately saw the layer. Spend some time to track the U-center and maybe try to see the corners too.
That's something I've not master yet. I was thinking of one looking the U center but I was more worried of messing up. So instead I just kinda traced it instead. I'll definitely work on one looking solutions more in the future
