Sohini Bandopadhyay,is a kathak dancer and a learner of this generation.She is the disciple of Vidushi Alokparna Guha.She started learning kathak at the age of three and still continues her rigorous talim.She has Got First prize in kathak and Nazrul Nritya in the All India Talent Search Competition by Sarbabharatiya Sangeet. She has received Second Prize in the Doverlane Music Competition and also achieved First prize in the Classical voice of India in the state level and also got the first prize in the National level Competition of Classical voice of India and was honored by the Nityashree of India title.Sohini is a National Scholarship holder from CCRT in the field of Theatre.She continues both her dance and theatre as they both compliment each other.
