We’re a Dutch couple. For years we’ve been traveling the world looking for the most beautiful animals both under and above water. At first we were mostly into diving (the top 100 dive sites of the world) but we added land safaris. There is off course a big similarity between safaris and diving. By now we’ve traveled a lot and we would like to share our stories and experiences with you.

The marine iguana

The marine iguana is only found on the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). We saw them on San Cristobal Island and on Santa Cruz Island, on the beach but also in the shopping streets! This iguana feeds almost exclusively on algae. It was high on our Wishlist to see them feed underwater. At Fernandina Island we got lucky and saw many dive into the water, swim to a rock, cling onto it and start grazing ...

That was the slowest chase between two animals in history
This shows you just how alert they are and good their vision is...also how offensive they actúally are against sharks. The second it saw the shark before the camera could see it, the sea lion was already on it
