Welcome. I’m fortunate to have had a long musical career as a guitarist, composer and arranger. I love playing solo guitar. Here you’ll find plenty of solo guitar videos as well as original music for various groups.
Drawn to surf music and rock ‘n roll travelled the Teenage Fair circuit smashing guitars under strobe lights. Studied composition at Cal Arts. Played with legendary Texas singer Delbert McClinton. Joined The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo as co-musical director with Danny Elfman. On the road with singer Vikki Carr. Wrote books on Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian for Mel Bay and 6 books of solo guitar arrangements for Warner Bros. Orchestra Supervisor for Rod Stewart, Page and Plant and The Who. Conducted for a live Heart concert DVD and bandleader for Roger Daltrey. Led my own groups Dr. Jazz, Snapdaddys and Dream Street. Played thousands of solo guitar gigs.
I upload new videos every week so subscribe and click the bell icon to be notified when they post.

Lost In The Stars 7 17 24 v 1 HD 1080p
With music by Kurt Weil, I first heard the song “Lost In The Stars” on Tom Schnabel’s radio show. The version he played was by Norwegian singer Radka Toneff and it really stuck with me. It’s a beautiful song and expresses the emotions I'm feeling today. The world may be going crazy but life is good, don't give up hope.

When You Wish Upon A Star

“When You Wish Upon A Star” from Disney’s Pinocchio was a very comforting, hopeful song of my youth. Introduced by Cliff Edwards (Ukulele Ike), it had a big impact on the millions of kids who watched the film. As 2023 draws to a close, I wish everybody a Happy New Year. May your dreams come true. Lost In The Stars

It's been a tough few months losing people we love. Two friends died as a result of being hit by an out of control car in separate incidents. Please be careful out there. With music by Kurt Weil, I first heard the song “Lost In The Stars” on Tom Schnabel’s radio show. The version he played was by Norwegian singer Radka Toneff and it really stuck with me. Marie's Song
มุมมอง 134ปีที่แล้ว
I wrote the melody of this song when I was a member of The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. It was inspired by Marie-Pasqale Elfman. Marie is a true artist who was married to Rick Elfman at the time. Many years later I wrote new lyrics and arranged the song for my group Dream Street. It features Leslie Lashinsky on bassoon and Sid Page on violin along with Bobbi Page on vocals.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
มุมมอง 404ปีที่แล้ว
By this time, a few days before Christmas, the holiday music canon has been playing for a while. I close out this season with my favorite holiday song. "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was first performed by Judy Garland in the movie Meet Me in St. Louis. With its great melody and chord changes it's a favorite holiday song of many musicians, including me. It's been a tough couple of yea...
Can't Find My Way Home

We went to the Steely Dan show at The Hollywood Bowl last night. It's been a long time since we've been to a big concert. My friend Jon Herington was burning on guitar all night. Great show and band. I missed Steve Winwood who was supposed to be on the bill. I hope he is just taking a break from touring and is in fine shape. Here's my version of "Can't Find My Way Home", my favorite Steve Winwo...

"Ruby Mae and John" by Dream Street
มุมมอง 2213 ปีที่แล้ว
Besides being a guitarist, I am also a songwriter and arranger. I had the pleasure of leading the group Dream Street for over 10 years. I was able to write for and perform with some of the greatest musicians in the world. It was an honor. “Ruby Mae and John” came about when observing an older couple, sitting at a table and not communicating or showing much emotion, suddenly becoming alive, grac...

San Antonio Rose for solo guitar
มุมมอง 3553 ปีที่แล้ว
San Antonio Rose is probably the most well-known Western Swing song popularized by Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys. Merle Haggard's Tribute to Bob Wills album turned me on to Western Swing. Groups like Asleep At The Wheel and The Time Jumpers are still playing this fun music and keeping it alive. This is my chord melody arrangement for solo guitar. Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart

“Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart” is surely a memorable title for a song. I first heard it by The Coasters with the bass singer featured and a King Curtis sax solo. All I Have To Do Is Dream
มุมมอง 2373 ปีที่แล้ว
As a tribute to Don Everly's passing, I am leaving this up for another week. “All I Have to Do Is Dream” is a great song composed by Boudleaux Bryant for The Everly Brothers. It featured Chet Atkins on guitar. This song was among the first rock ‘n roll songs I heard. What a beautiful sound, the combined voices of the two Everly Brothers. This is my chord melody arrangement for solo guitar. Expl...
I Cover The Waterfront

When Johnny Green was checking me out to play Edith Head’s funeral I told him that in addition to “Body and Soul” I was also a fan of his song “I Cover the Waterfront”. I first heard it sung by one of my favorite jazz artists the great trombonist and vocalist Jack Teagarden. Jack’s soulful longing really put the song over for me. This is my chord melody arrangement for solo guitar. Explore my w...

No, but I just turned in a book on solo guitar playing for Mel Bay Publications which will have 36 solo guitar arrangements with note by note audio recordings. Glad you liked the books.
@@StanAyeroffMusic Do you know the release date for the book?
Master spectacular arrangement! I have been following him for many years, it gives me great pleasure to be able to see and hear him live and direct.
Stan, I've been looking for a solo version of this song to get under my fingers and I find that yours is the most beautiful. Thanks so much.
real good, one of the best version, Steve would be proud of you.
Virtuosity, emotion and just the right amount of Jazz inflection. Astounding.

Absolutely lovely arrangement Stan.
Wow, simply perfect. All of the timing, vocalizations, and intonations. Perfect.
Beautiful arrangements! Do you have tabs available?
As with all of your videos, this piece is a very sophisticated arrangement and is flawlessly executed. When I came across your channel I realized that I have 2 of your books (Django & Charlie Christian) probably acquired in the 80's. Thanks.
Your sense of harmony and your execution is amazing! Love your song choices.
Hey Stan…I am sitting in Casa Sanchez listening to your guitar. Roberto told me you were here last night
I am also a huge fan of "Mr. T" , there's been nobody like him since! St James Infirmary, Meet Me Where They Play the Blues, Stars Fell on Alabama, and of course Rockin' Chair with Louis Armstrong. Thanks for sharing your arrangements.
Louis Armstrong would have enjoyed your rendition of this, as I did. That 1956 version he recorded was just a tour de force, wasn't it?
Hey Stan, fantastic arrangement! So much soul my friend!
Sublime! Inspirational!
Beautiful. Very clean, round tone, with a relaxed delivery. Simply nice to listen to! Thanks.
Tonight I was listening to "live" recordings of Al Viola and Frank Sinatra. If Frank were alive and singing today, you would be his guitarist.
So lovely and touching. Wishing all the very best of health and happiness this coming New Year!!!!
Thanks Stan. Just beautiful.
Beautiful arrangement and playing Stan! Merry Christmas 🎄
Lovely touch to the holiday season Stan - we loved watching and listening . . . .Happy Holidays from the Mellys
Beautifully done Stan! A Christmas song that never gets old and always touches one's sentimentality - the lyrics are so wonderful. Wishing you and yours a very Happy Holiday Season, and of course, the best of everything in the coming year of 2023. Your old pal, Steve 🙂
Gorgeous, Stan!
