Here's my theory on what happen between BTS and LIS1!! So Chloe & Rachel are sleeping together but Rachel wakes up without disturbing Chloe, then she calls Frank for help about money for her and Chloe to escape she agrees to meet him at his RV and they both have a calm conversation about the money (which Frank had stashes of it laid out in his RV) Rachel saw the opportunity and attempted to steal the cash then they both got into a heated argument which lead Frank to hit and abuse her lock her up and Rachel was forced into an abusive relationship with him, Rachel was forced to smile and dance and practically do whatever he asked her to do!! she wasn't allowed to leave for long distances without him and was Locked up in and around the Junkyard, which eventually she would escape in a desperate attempt to try to find Chloe but with no luck, Mr Jofferson found her instead, Jofferson claimed to help her with the money and take her to a safe place and/or re-unite with Chloe so he drove her to Arcadia Bay where Rachel would finally Re-unite with Chloe but Rachel was only able to tell her "i found someone who changed my life" referring to the money for her and Chloe to escape, whilst still reassuring her that she is okay and they both had a final Hug goodbye!! but little did they know that'd be the last time they would be together, Rachel then proceeded to go with jofferson hoping he'd help her get the money but he instead took her to the dark room and abducted her, tortured her then later killed her!! that lead to the beginning of the events in LIS1!! Rachel died trying... she died knowing that she loves Chloe.. she died trying to escape with her... all of this time she was trying to get to Chloe the entire time!! Rachel is a very misunderstood character in my opinion!! Well that's my theory XD

Good video. I must say I agree. Something that bothers me a lot about GW is that they fail to properly integrate the story of their other characters with the core of the series. Unlike GW who have a setting that they can modify as they wish, Izetta uses a setting established in WW2, and has less freedom with what their characters will do. While in Izetta, the bad guys are better established (without ceasing to be justified), in GW... they brought the deus ex machina of the solar cannon that turned the military conflict on its head out of nowhere. PS. Recommend fix the fonts of the thumbnail. It's hard to read what it says.

Thank you for this video. Unfortunately, you are difficult for me to understand (someone whose native language is not English) and I could not always follow your thoughts. Maybe one day I will come out of this series with the right thoughts, theories and conclusions. Yes, they are just characters from a game, but you have experienced so many intimate and emotional moments with them during the games that you feel more connected to them than with some real people. If you just made up stories about how everyone is together in LA without being able to explain it in a halfway plausible way in the LiS universe, they would no longer be Max, Chloe and Rachel for me. Although, if there were more games with these characters, I would also forgive major inconsistencies with the original LiS storyline. By the way, the outro was awesome! This song together with all the pictures... I cried so much that I could hardly bear to finish watching. It was a masterpiece.

I would love a rachel amber game but i want it to be done by dontnod because they clearly had different plans with her in general and her relationship with said characters like chloe frank jefforson,decknine made it seem like chloe and rachel were together now i know thats an option whether u want to have them as friends or more but whatever they were rachel started a fling with frank and then also jefforson which then ultimately lead to her death dontnod had a different idea of chloe and rachels relationship and decknine had a different idea of it and i want to see what the original creators had in mind

Before the Storm should have explicitly been about using your knowledge from the first game to change the past and prevent Rachel's death. Instead the game is basically a retcon filled prequel with a ton of wasted potential. I think the 'Dawn' fan film execute the plot a lot better because of the compromised and changes they made to it. In the film, Sera is actually a spirit when she talks with Chloe, Eliot is gone and Damon is merged with Jefferson, with him being Nathan's murder mentor - this is because their fan film based on the original game completely removed Jefferson's character and solely had Nathan as the antagonist.

If you take LiS on its own, it's very clear that Rachel was taking advantage of how people saw her. Ultimately in hoping Jefferson would be her ticket out of Arcadia Bay, with or without Chloe. And even BtS couldn't avoid that, it made half a point of it which is why I didn't dislike it completely. The takeaway from BtS is that Rachel isn't hiding who she is most of the time, she's doing it all the time. Even when she goes crazy, when she cries, when she gets angry. It's all performance. But I think Rachel works best without being seen. She's just another scar on Arcadia Bay, and of course Chloe.

Your videos about life is strange characters always make me cry. I've been struggling with connecting with media for a while, but meeting Chloe, max and Rachel changed that. They're so important to me now, even if I don't relate to them personally that deep, I love them, I've fallen in love with them, it's almost like they're real people I see around and want to be friends with. And you somehow capture so well a part of how I feel towards them, the lack of closure with Rachel is a hard one, something aches in my heart when I think of her and how her story was handled. And how we never got to see how Chloe feels and acts after someone chose to sacrifice everything just for her, so many holes that need to be addressed. I'm still hoping to find fanfiction that can satisfy my heart, cannon or headcannon or whatever, something is still missing.

I had never heard of Life is Strange, until I found a physical copy of Before the Storm at a retail store, with Life is Strange as a downloadable game with purchase. So I got to know Chloe & Rachel before knowing what happened in the original game. Honestly happy that I played them in that order. Can't wait for Double Exposure to download. 😁
