Does anyone know what the difference between trd and non trd is on the first gen tundras? Is it just a sticker? I know Tacoma’s have lockers if it’s trd off road. But no clue on the old tundras. Thank you.

Hey, nice looking rig dude. I have a 2001 tundra 4x4 and I was wondering what kind of mpgs you got with that size tire?? I want to jump up to 285/75r16 but am nervous about mpgs and towing power. Let me know what kind of mpgs you get daily driving
thanks man, I had 285/75s on before I got the tires in the video and with that size the change in mpg and towing power is gonna be slim to none. now with the 33x12.50x20s the mpg loss is definitely noticeable but not sure what it is exactly. also I tow a decent amount with the setup I have with no issues. oh yeah also I had to trim some for 285s on stock wheels and leveling kit so keep that in mind

I have about a little more than 2 inch level up front (bilstein 5100 on fourth notch) and a 1 inch block in rear plus some 16x9 -12 with stock sized tires right now. Looks too punny, so I know I will go bigger on tires, but just dont know if the truck can move 285s well enough for MN winters and towing! Daily right now, driving fairly aggressively at times, I get average of 16-17 mixed of highway and gravel in the country.
What a Beauty! I can see why you get a lot of offers to buy your truck. I just bought an 03' Tundra, I think I'll keep it until it needs a new motor or maybe when it needs a third motor, who knows. Thanks for sharing!
