I always wanted to be a movie star, so make sure you play these videos on your TV!
I find information about trails using TH-cam, so I figured I’d vlog some rides and rips with friends. I’m an Eastern panhandle, WV resident ( without the buck teeth ;) ) I like to make videos and document some of the good trails I get to ride.

That one road in Michaux State Forest Pennsylvania houses all these awesome OG hand cut trails. Such a good time. I fused together clips from 2 trips to this area with Sam and Jon. Foliage was different as one was shot in the early summer and other late winter, but I finally put the clips to good use (I hope you thought so? if not, oh well :P ) Enjoy.

Is this part of the resort/bike park or just public land? Is it doable without shuttling?
@@TheNewnan3 it’s part of the resort, but it’s open to the public.its like across the valley from the bike park/ same mountain ridge. You can pedal it, but let me tell you: some of the steepest fire roads I’ve ever pedaled, very brutal. The trails are directional and better graded to ride both directions. They do shuttles on Saturday and Sundays that you basically pay like a lift ticket for. You can’t shuttle it in your own car as they gate the roads off.
thanks for the response! One other question: Im trying to plan bike trips for the spring. What other places in this area similar to the Watershed, Massanutten, Bryce, etc, would you recommend? Let’s say in a 4-5 hour drive range….
@@TheNewnan3 oooooh, multiple choice question! Michaux state forest specifically northern Michaux or that area I just did a recent video on ;) More south trails would be: George Washington nation forest trails: high knob, rifle range, (haven’t rode any other ones, but I’m sure they are just as good backcountry style trails) Observatory Hill / Heyward community forest near Charlottesville VA Carvins cove at Roanoke VA. Blacksburg VA (McDonald’s hollow) and poverty creek / pandapas pond area

Hey man love your vids! I’m a local to the shed and ride there regularly. Really contemplating getting an e bike (turbo levo). Should I pull the trigger?
@@Ooahhh Thank you and glad you enjoy them! I would 100000% recommend an e bike to anyone who is only concerned with getting as many laps as possible in, has restricted time, and wants maximum smiles. If money weren’t an issue, I think, everyone who likes to ride DH should have one. I don’t really follow specialized, but I can say from what I seen the motor and tweaking of how much power you can apply vs the other bikes with only 3 (sometimes 4) modes, the turbo levo is winning in that department and can get alot more range out of the same size battery as their competitors. Time is now to buy one, deals are real good! I’m 100% sure you won’t regret it, in-fact you’ll probably wonder why you hadn’t done it sooner.
@@blaine142 awesome, thanks for the info man! Only thing I have against them is the weight of them. Is that something you got used to after a while? From your videos it seems like you can pop and play around even with a heavy bike.
@@Ooahhh I would have to agree because I thought the same thing, for the first month your upper body/ arms will be sore from riding it, with all that extra weight. When I bought mine I could barely bunny hop it on flat. It rode and jumped the same, it just didn’t seem like I could hop nearly half as high. I got used to it, now it’s perfectly fine and I like the weight over an enduro bike because it’s real planted when it gets extra rowdy.
“Just roll it, it’s fine” Riiiight😊

Good thing you chose to ride the OG stuff... because in the last couple weeks they've actively closed trails and dismantled features. Satans Ridge delivers the goods!
@@bmwpowere36m3 Ayoooooo, your back for this years video! Thanks for the intel (from last year), I guess you can see your information helped me find the goodies. That’s kind of why I wasn’t to worried about not riding Satans ridge this year because I knew the “closed trails” wouldn’t make it another year until I get back out here. I will for sure be riding satans ridge next year, only looked up the videos of that trail after I was already done riding for the week lol. I’m glad I got to ride a piece of history now…I saw that one super sick trail down near 50/01, had trees cut down all over it and I figured the other OG trails didn’t have much more time based on the signage. They did that last year here at local trails: the Fredrick Watershed. Pretty much the worst way to close a trail, but what can ya do. Fun while they lasted

That was a gnarly two days, how recent was this ride? My friends went from Long Island to here one day without me and they had trouble finding stuff, idk if they had Trailforks or not. Do you still think it’s worth it if trails are closing?
@@VentureMTB this was about 3 weeks ago, not too bad for my turnaround video rate LOL. It is 100% worth it still, this is the first place that compares to the shed for gnarlyness for “trail” rides. I will tell you though I went last year and scoped it a lot, and came back with a little better understanding/ people telling me some where abouts of the stuff I missed. I’ve rode 35 miles at this place in the 3 times I’ve went and haven’t rode it all yet though (because I like to keep riding what awesome stuff I find and or just run out of time) usually only get to shred for 2-3 hours.
