This was very very helpful except for one small but fundamental detail. I installed the battery, closed the pc and started it up. Showed 100% but when I removed the power it shut down. Nearly gave up!! I then had one final thought. I realised I had connected the motherboard connector the wrong way around. It felt secured but it was wrong. When I reversed to be correct it worked perfectly (of course). It would be worth reiterating to ensure that the motherboard connector is reconnected the correct way - red wires on the right!!

It only works with normal video's, not with shorts. You are editing a normal video in this tutorial, not a short.

This method worked & changed the thumbnail in my studio, however it did not change it on my public channel page, so everyone still sees the thumbnail TH-cam chose.

Brilliant video, thank you. Picked up an i5 variant with 8GB RAM with a horrible spinny disk (I forgot how slow those are!!) for £40. Replaced disk with an SSD and it's perfectly usable!
