Hi , I liked your video and wants to know if the VCM on 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe have the same VCM you are showing in this video. Does the pin # for the motor is stillpin4/pin5? , I would like to try and drive the VCM motor manually to see if it’s stuck.

Nice Diag! I'm having the same issue on a 2016 Malibu. Switch works reclining back but wont recline forward...I'm assuming the back rest motor is in the back of the back rest? saw three motors under the seat. I'm thinking bad switch..

This comment is for anybody that might be having the same problem I just had with the back of the seat being stuck in the down position. Have somebody move the switch left to right while you push the back up from behind or one hand pushing up while the other hand push down on the lower back part of the seat. I’m no mechanic but this worked for me and I couldn’t really find any comments or videos describing how to fix my issue. This was for my 2019 Chevy Malibu lt

so i had an issue with my vcm motor. The one when supplied with lower off the battery, it worked just fine. But the 2nd vcm when powered directly from the battery, itll twitch but wont run continuosly the 180⁰. So i then powered that vcm off a AA battery and it ran smooth. I opened the vcm up and there was dried acid on the motor. So it shorted out and couldnt handle 12v. The code i was getting was P016c. Manafactuer control code. I had already replaced 10different sensors and parts. so the vcm motors were my last resort before i get the car towed. Symptoms were; hard starts, misfires from improper fuel/air ratio, lean code p0171, hesitation while accelerating, stalling, rough idle or heavy shake, and a poopping noise in the intake.

Good video thanks. However, you need to be at 90 degrees using an extension, or calculate the torque setting due to the added length/leverage you have created. Usually not a big deal, but it could be in certain circumstances. Be safe.

Thanks for your content I did a oil flush but no change on filter yet because my filter was stuck and my vibe only had 2,088 miles on the oil that was in it then and the mechanic who put it on before over torqued it 😢 and I don’t have that socket for it. I did it because I wanted to learn it because I hope to become a future mechanic someday

The 2012 Acadia did not come with that intake plenum carpet.

Camera angle sucks. Do not gap ac Delco plugs, they are pre gapped from factory. Also for someone whose so worried aboit crap going into the intake, you should do 1 plug at a time.

What was that black plastic tubing you said to wiggle loose gently and not to break if you do it will be a problem? You talked about it at 13:10. I bought a used 2012 Chevy Traverse LT and that piece is actually broken on my SUV. What the heck is that? lol
