I have found that I am experiencing the symptoms being discussed after having chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Currently no medical specialist has ever taken my concerns seriously or acknowledged them
Great news that LBC is being recognized as a disease with uniqueness compared to DBC. Tis means treatment studies are being explored that specifically target LBC
This chat gives hope to those of us living with LBC.
This is very promising. Coming from a LMIC we truly believe that prevention is better and cheaper than cure.
I really love Dr Laura talking about making sure tests are channelled more to those that are at high risk than women who are less at risk and something to be done about it
Thank you for this opportunity to listen to his work
For Dcis active survaillance watchful waiting a good medical oncologist and good radiologist wait for new treatment. Diet for cancer and diabetes
I am an older mom just diagnosed with PPBC, awaiting my oncotype score to determine if chemo will be necessary. I have no idea how PPBC factors in to my treatment plan yet. It is scary to learn of the poorer long term prognosis regardless of receptor status/stage. I am early stage, intermediate grade. I hope further research in PPBC can help patients like me avoid reoccurence/distant mets in the future.
Thank you for curing me from breast cancer virus with your herbal remedies, you have really proven yourself to be a real doctor, I will definitely spread this all over the world, I am totally free from Breast cancer virus #dremovon on TH-cam..🙏
Thanks Medha and Dr. Borges for illuminating the questions that need to be asked by practitioners and women. Gravida/parvida details have to be part of the conversation!
Cultivated cells in vaccines cause cancer.
Every one seems confused one say this needs to be done the others say leave it alone and it leaves patients scared and confused and its time to find a healing none confused non toxic decision.
Very interesting. I was diagnosed a bit more than a week ago with very early stage breast cancer. I survived ovarian cancer 17 years ago and this is completely unrelated. I have a lot ahead of me, but this helps me frame some questions for my doctors. I must commend the interviewer for her insights and skills. My entire career has been spent interviewing folks, including doctors in the past decade. You did a great job.
Thanks for sharing
Useful information as in UK Hospital tends to ignore Lobular cancer. Generic information only is given, especally where it can spread to other areas in the body. This isnt mentioned in "Move on" courses. @SouthTees
This is definitely a concern for survivors. I am going to get screened.
I agree Marshelle. I have been experiencing both.
My oncologist was not aware and did not feel concerned about this after I explained to her
Dr. Esserman hit the nail on the head. DCIS often NEVER turns into cancer, but we badly need to know whose DCIS will. They need further surgery or treatment; the others don't.
Who wants to keep going through this a second time - or more? Many people just want it over with. I've noticed on some of these websites, medical people seem to opt for mastectomy, often double mastectomy. Why one standard for medical people and another standard for everyone else? Something to think about. Also, antihornonal therapy and radiation carry significant side effects, often permanent and serious. People need to have ALL of the facts and then make their own informed choices.
Excellent conversation on patient advocacy! Thanks and congrats to Sandi and Gwen for sharing their personal and professional expertise with us… It is inspiring and encouraging! 🙏🏻👏💐
Can anyone pls tell me how bad microinvasive breast cancer is pls ,
I had DCIS 22 years ago at 34. I did lumpectomy and radiation, but did not do Tamoxifen because I had hoped to have another child, which I did. But I was just diagnosed with Invasive ductal carcinoma adjacent to the lumpectomy site. Waiting for more testing, but will at least have a single mastectomy. My genetic testing came back negative which is great! My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 at 72 and died. They didn't do any genetic testing on my DCIS unfortunately .
Hi Lisa how did you get with your diagnosis, and I'm sorry to here about your mom x
My mom was diagnosed with Her2 positive, ER negative and PR Negative metastatic breast cancer with liver secondaries in August 2021. Doctors are telling they can't cure. Please quickly develop vaccine for HER2 positive metastatic breast Cancer as soon as possible. Thank you.
