I think sonnet 27 is my favourite love poem, as the restless sleeper, beset by worry, takes a journey to their beloved to calm their soul. This is Simon Paxton reading it- th-cam.com/video/UqjBtxnLxZk/w-d-xo.html
Not by Shakespeare, not a sonnet. Sad

"Shy love" means love two thousand feet under the ground... means, how much "Shy"- is it like too much "Hesitation"....
1. “No Man Is An Island” by John Donne No man is an island, Entire of itself, Every man is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thy friend’s Or of thine own were: Any man’s death diminishes me, Because I am involved in mankind, And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee

Is this supposed to represent the peak of human achievement? I don't mean to sound arrogant, but to me it seems overrated.
POWERFUL 💥💥💥
Beautiful 🖤
That just made me smile 😊 Stunning piece of poetry 📖
'One of the possible origins of the phrase "For Whom the Bell Tolls, it tolls for Thee". First of all, the "phrase" as you have given it is nonsensical and is never used - the 'phrase' that is heard occasionally is, "Ask not for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee", or just, "Ask not for whom the bell tolls ...." Second of all: what other "possible origins" does this "phrase" have? Inquiring minds, and all that ......
They arenot beautiful anymore but they add meaning to my love Epic line
Wonderful.
I love this.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole again is what does it for me
This was the first Shakespeare poem I've ever heard. I just now am understanding the beauty of poetry.

Shakespeare didn't write this.
I'd really like to be able to read it rather than hear you.
Thank you for the first smile of my day.
One day I will ride across the Rainbow Bridge on my long-dead horse who I miss very much
