Awesome 👍

Promo sm 😘
beautiful views :)
You could have gone with ua
From Lukla to Phakding, there are many up and down slopes.
I have great respects for those porters.
awesome! video.
Thank you.
Sir where exactly do you keep camera while walking? What device do you use ?
Head mount and an older GoPro.
Thanks a lot sir.

Sir where do you keep or attach camera ??
Use a head mount. Excited to the the newest GoPro this winter for Aconcagua

Excellent great 👍
It’s would be good if it would have been pitched road. I think it would be a good idea if the there was road and transportation department in all the district of Nepal?
Highest Peak of BORNEO Island Seven Summit Indonesia th-cam.com/video/9kPTyhaI9TA/w-d-xo.html
There até interesting treckings but this onde...
Why do the Sherpa seem to worship 70's used car dealerships? I mean, just look at those flags.
Haha. Good joke. It is a very interesting and beautiful culture
It is always a delight to see your video <3
Thank you.
How does this not have more views and likes? It is practically the start of the whole Everest Trek! Many thanks to you, Shane, for being able to experience this amazing walk somehow, because in real life I cannot (due to my altitude sickness issues above 3000 meters).
Thank you. I think the video is a little slow for most people, but some really enjoy the longer format.
good video spoilt by crap music,,,rather listen to the wind
Im.
Why did you group via Tengpoche when there is a much more impressive High Scenic Trail on the opposite side of the valley? The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche high route offers amazing views across the valley, lots of wildlife like Himalayan Tahr and musk deer and practically no other trekkers. Tengpoche can be visited on the way down.
One of the hikers was having trouble acclimating. I plan to go back in a few years and try a different route up.
Do those buildings along the way have electricity? How would they bring items for those buildings that would be too large or heavy for a yak such as a refrigerator? I assume there are no roads, only that narrow footpath.
Namche Bazaar and below has electricity. Above Namche Bazaar, all electricity is from solar panels. So once above Namche Bazaar you need to pay by the hour for charging and internet unless you bring your own solar panel. You are correct, there are no roads, but the foot path is wide and for the proper amount of money, they will carry anything up that you want.
nice sharing
Thank you, I am glad you are enjoying the video.
It was a very gloomy day.
Your video is highly appreciated.
More on Rainier coming soon.
Your videos of EBC are very helpful.
Thank you, and wait till you see Aconcagua, the new GoPro 10 looks amazing, time for an upgrade.
I watch all your EBC videos from this one all over again in order to take note of the details of the entire trek.
Thank you, more videos coming soon!
Did you use drone to videotape the entire trek?
A head mount. Most drones have an altitude limit below 8,000 feet or so and have been “outlawed” in a lot of places such as Machu pichu
Is the trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is the longest section of the EBC trek?
There is no “standard” trek, but that’s what most people do, and most think it is the hardest part. You land in Lukla at 12 feet and then on day 2 it’s almost all uphill without the body acclimated yet. There are two tea houses you could spend the night for a slower experience. And $20 to $40 a day on the hill. Take all the time in the world
If you can, pass through Phakding and spend your first night in Monjo. This makes the Second day to Namche a shorter trek. It is only after the last footbridge across the river between Monjo and Namche that the trek becomes all uphill. It is not easy, but it is far from being too hard if you have done some training (which you should have).
@@shanechidester1328 I completed my 15 days EBC trek from 11/6-11/20/22. It took me a total of about 6 hours to trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. The toughest part began right after crossing Hillary Suspension Bridge. I gave myself a few minutes’ break frequently to allow my body to adjust to the altitude. Some people started feeling headaches when they reached Namche Bazaar because they pushed forward too anxiously. This trek is a challenge of endurance calmly with each steady step. You really can’t waste energy to complain. This only exhausts you further.
@@GODISMYSTERIOUS I agree. New Machu Picchu videos coming soon. Completed the classic Inca trail last week and got far behind at work.
@@billsmith6884 Many people who travel on their own or hire their own sherpa guide and porter, they can choose that schedule. It would be easier. Moreover, you may add more days for acclimatization and resting to give your legs a full rest on resting days.
Thank you for showing the viewers the entire section of the trek.
I can tell how much you really loved this trek and you had great patience to videotape this long trek.
This is a fantastic video showing every detail of the trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.
When the porters carry heavy loads of luggage trekking along with their guests, the trekkers should be inspired by them to keep trekking slowly and steadily without moaning and complaining. Have empathy about their hard work. We all are humans.
Are you planning to do this trip soon?
@@shanechidester1328 Yes. I love Mt. Everest. I am unable to climb it but I want to walk on a trek to get a close view of it. Love your videos. Once I get my renewed passport back, I wanna to buy airfare to go to Nepal ASAP.
@@GODISMYSTERIOUS thank you for that. It is a great trip and worth it. Glad you like the videos. I was not sure how the long format would go over but a lot of people love the longer format. Enjoy your trip
@@shanechidester1328 I do love the long format which shows the real thing. I have a better picture of the trek.
The trek is well paved. It is not hard to walk on.
It gets more rugged with altitude but not bad.
@@shanechidester1328 You are so right. I made the comment before I actually trekked on it. Once I experienced it myself on Nov 9, 2022, then I realised certain terrains are truly rough, rocky, uneven and up and further up to higher altitude.
너무 엉터리그래해도대나보죠 주관이 업잔아
Which year was this shot? At 1h40min, after passing the suspension bridge you made a steep climb up the hill. I made the same trek in November 2020, but the trail then went along the river from the bridge after Jorsalle all the way to Hillary suspension bridge. I think this has been the route for several years.
Thank you for your comment. It was in April of 2019. Will be going back in a few years and doing a different route with the hope of getting more amazing videos.
Wow this is brillant, very orginal you have shown everything as it is. Feels like we've seen every minute details and i really thought i was in everest trek myself
Thank you for the comment. Have a Mount Rainier hike and Aconcagua hike I will also be posting.
@@shanechidester1328 Many thanks for this video from someone who got acute altitude sickness at 3600m in Lhasa and who would probably be unable to continue the trek any further than Namche Bazaar.
Id like to commend you on this i enjoyed the soundtrack to this might I ask where can I find these tunes???
All the music came from “TH-cam royalty free music”. Just search it, it’s easy to find.
Why do you go up via Tengpoche when there is a much better scenic trail on the other side of the valley via Mong La and Phortse? Takes same amount of days as the standard route. Amazing views across the valley!
That is just the way they wanted to take us. Planning to go back in a few years with the nephews and do that route.
@@shanechidester1328 Guides always want to use the easiest route where they get their customary kickbacks from the lodges and can drink chang with their mates. They are not interested in offering anything out of the ordinary to their clients, sorry to say. Some non-local guides do not even know there are other trails available, they are just automatons walking up and down the same rails time after time. Trekkers should do some research before the trek, look at the maps and do out-of-the-box thinking. Next time!
I did this trek in nov-dec 2018 and I’m gradually reliving those days on the trek,I do miss the sound of the yak and donkey bells on your soundtrack but otherwise a brilliant vlog and thank you so much
Thank you.
Two years ago this week I was in Namche and your video helped me re-live that climb from the High Bridge - great effort and excellent video!
Thank you.
A
well done mate. I stayed in the same guesthouse in the village of Khumjung. The owner was very friendly women and I was the ony guest.
Another nice trek ! I'm in for the next one ! :D
I don't know for other trekkers but for me you are a very good one ! Climbing all of thoses mountains I couldn't do it! And again, I enjoy every single seconds of it! Next: Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest! Starting now!
Only one porter for 2 persons...disgraceful
It was the porters choice to carry 2 bags. We tried for 2 and they would have nothing to do with it. Also you will notice there are also orphanage videos on here from donations we made. More then ethical.
Red, make sure to get all the facts right before judging other's peoples life. Otherwise you just look stupid.
You judgmental arsehole.
@@billsmith6884 nothing wrong with being judgmental - it is the what sets a human being apart from an animal. You all braindeads from the newer generations saying that "you shouldn't judge" are just doing a disgrace to yourself
@@amoreazione3563 Fuck you. There is plenty wrong with being judgmental. By the way, I am hardly what you would describe as being from the 'newer generation'; so you should get your facts straight before you start judging other people. Shit kicker.
WOW........... Soo amazing ! Great videos !
Thank you, nest year Aconcagua!
@@shanechidester1328 YESSS!!!!
Thank you so much for your videos of trekking in Nepal ! Full version ! Yessss ! I was soo glad when I discover your channel because I was looking for full version trekking since I can't trek no more. Please feel free to publish 6-7-8 hours of trekking I will watch them all! I enjoy every second of it! Many thanks !
Nice..but this music here kill it a bit!!
I agree with you. If the music is softer, then it will be much less disturbing and we can concentrate more on the scenery.
