Wow ! Thank you for taking time to leave such a great comment giving us more a clear insight into Efteling and its history! We have seen the hot snacks machines in Amsterdam whilst visiting there before; i think the New York ones were originally run by the mafia (though that could be incorrect) regardless they are a very unique part of the culture that we love. It really is a fantastic place and the Efteling community are just as incredible. We've visited many a theme park all over the world and Efteling is one of a kind. We cannot wait to return again. @GK_Adventures No problem. Well the mafia running the hot snacks machine in NY could explain why they stopped using them. I used the hot snack vending machines during lunch break at work next to the Ajax football stadium in Amsterdam because you dont have to wait in line for snacks. I didnt have long lunch break from work so it came in handy. Also after going to the pub / club the hot snacks machines come in handy. Some people found a way to get the snacks for free. They didnt close the little window fully. Just left the little window open a bit so the snack bar owner didnt see them do it. That way they could get free refilled snacks over and over. We do have other themeparks in The Netherland like Walibi Holland and Toverland for example but Efteling has a special place in the hearts of Dutch people because most went there with their parents as a child or on school trips. I even heard that children from the UK went to Efteling on school trips. I mean we did that too but from the UK you have to go on a ferry with all those kids and maybe even stay in a hotel over night. Dont know if that is normal for children to have such expensive school trips in the UK. One man from the UK told me children from the UK even went to France, Belgium, Germany and America on school trips. Here I was thinking we were lucky going to Efteling but UK school trips seem to be on another level. I am really interested to go to themeparks in the UK. Can you recommend one or more theme / amusement parks to go to in the UK ?

The schools here do offer some great school trips. Usually Disneyland Paris in Europe, though I went to Berlin when i was younger. 24 hours on a coach to get there was an absolute mission but was great. Theres some great theme parks here in the UK but nothing even close on the theming side compared to Efteling. Alton Towers and Legoland are both the top ones visited, Thorpe Park is our thrill seeking park, but overall they're lacking in the theming area. Hopefully we get a Universal Studios and that gets everyone to raise the bar.

Efteling I know ever bit of it and other themeparks in most of main land Europe as well. That is why it is nice to check out theme parks in America and the UK. I already went to one in America to Disneyland. I liked it but tought it would be bigger in size. Universal Studio's I went to as well. My sister recently visited and could only do 5 attractions in a whole day. It was that busy. Because I already went to America to visit a themepark I like to visit one or more theme / amusement parks n the UK. I went to Leeds once to visit my friends who studied there. We went to all the pubs /clubs there but that is another kind of entertainment :-) Thank you for the recommendations for UK amusement / themeparks I will check them out. P.s. I said Efteling is one of the oldest themeparks but themepark Bakken / Dyrehavsbakken in Denmark is the oldest it was founded in 1583 (441 years ago).

The parks in America are amazing but extremely busy. Theres a new Universal Studios coming next May thats supposed to be the biggest theme park in the world (apparently). Hope you do get to visit the UK parks. They can be very quiet in the week but super busy at weekends when the seasons here. 441 Year old theme park wow thats crazy. Thats on our list now too !

@@GK_Adventures Excellent. Droomvlucht is usually a winner with the girls. Although the planet scene often gets appreciated by everyone. Always fun to see first impressions of 'our park' by foreigners. Glad you enjoyed yourselves!

We did love Droomvlucht. Sadly though Fata Morgana was closed when we went but we would of loved to have had a ride on there and get a POV. We did visit the shop there and it smelt incredible so can only imagine how amazing the ride smells. We thought Efteling was phenomenal. The sad part was we didn't get to explore the forest - so we will definitely be returning!

@GK_Adventures The forest is quite unique. There are 29 fairytale buildings, so lots to see. It's relaxing and a bit magical. Like you're in a fairytale. And Danse Macabre will be done next time. Another reason to come back :) It's not too scary, I believe it's for children of 8 and up.

Are they adding a Danse Macabre thing into the forest ?? We got on the ride. Quite enjoyed it to be fair. We were gutted we didn't get to see the forest. We was running out of time there and didn't want to rush going around it.

Thanks sir! I had to re-upload this one as the audio was playing up for some reason. PortAventura is great! We were really surprised how nice it was out there. Didn’t do any homework on the place just went in completely blind and it was great! Haha yeah we got some Florida stuff coming next year. Going to be a great summer! Appreciate you watching!

@ that’s the only thing about that ride at the min is the queue time as me and my youngest wait 2 1/2 to go on it but went on row 2 but the second time the waiting time was the same but got on row 8 and was a completely different ride

@@Robjp81 yeah she’s super popular! We even tried before taking them out of school for lower wait times & you just run into school trips so that didn’t quite work 😂

There’s a lot of jump scares on this ride whereas the Phantom Manor is more of a sit back and watch the party! @GK_Adventures they used to give out fast tracks as a way of apologising and that! We could hear the other ride cars that had halted by is too, was actually quite humorous amd we had a laugh, but I think 1 group had a young boy or girl with them, that got quote scared and cried a bit, as it's quite enclosed in there and when it's dark as well and it was so warm too, they still didn't give out passes or anything! The ride was closed all day after that funnily enough, but I guess it happens, I've wanna feel safe on a rid3 as I am a thrillseeker! But yer, what felt like 4 hours was only about 45 mins lol

Wow, it was bad enough just having 1 ride through! lol.

Found it really disappointing tbh, after all the hype! Too much empty darkness, compressed air effects, & jump scare pop ups!

Hey thanks for watching! The queue / back ground story is deffo over looked for this ride. Its full of hidden gems. We have been considering making a full video with much more detail in regards of the queue and the pre ride show. The story is fantastic which helps makes this to be the number 1 dark ride in the UK thus far. Thanks for sharing your experience of the ride !

It's actually historically Acurate children like emily in that time period were seen not heard especially if you came from a rich family also her parents were just evil especially her father calling her a wretched little creature I would of kicked his head in for that alone poor emily
