Flights No. 9, 10, 11, and my first XC
This is my continuing journey in becoming a Paramotor Pilot.
In this video, I continue to improve my take-offs and landings and get to go on my first cross-country flight (without any comms with my instructor). It should have been a quick 20-minute flight to the White Horse at Uffington but it didn't quite work out that way.
There was little wind this day so I was pleased my launches went so well.

This is my journey to becoming a Paramotor Pilot. This is my first flight on my Bulldog Atom 80 doing circuits at the Challow Paramotor Club. Struggled with the launch as the wind kept switching but finally managed to land on my feet.

Three months on and life is good

Don't worry, it was a planned visit. This was my six weeks post-op check. Had an x-ray and all is well with my leg. The wound is healing nicely but it is still a little stiff when I try to bend it. So off to the physio in a few weeks...
Four Weeks Post Op....will I be crutch-less?

Spoiler alert!!! Yes, I'm finally crutch-less. My leg is still quite tender and does hurt when I walk on it but this is mainly from the healing process. Keep looking at the trampoline and wondering how soon??
The start of a new year and a new life....

New Year's Day 2020. The wound is healing nicely. It does sting when I walk which is why I'm still using a crutch. I also use it for balance. Now it's just a waiting game until fully healed. Apologies for the poor sound quality and my daughter's heavy breathing ;) ...
It's nearly Christmas....

This is day 10 post-op. The day before, I had the stitches removed and my right calf examined by a doctor, as it had become quite swollen. As you will discover in the video, it was just a case of keeping the leg elevated for longer periods. Something I wasn't very good at!

So 9 days after the operation, I went to the GP surgery to have the stitches removed. A couple of days before this, my leg became quite swollen and painful. At one point, I did contact a doctor out-of-hours as I was quite concerned about the swelling. He suggested waiting until the next day when I had an appointment with the nurse and having it checked by the doctor at the surgery. As you will ...
Can the pain get any worse?

Four days after the operation and I'm in a lot of pain. The painkillers seem to have little effect. I can only hope it gets better and quickly! You may also notice I was struggling to find the right words to use. This was a combination of 4 hrs of sleep and strong painkillers.
