Fun fact for anyone who ends up reading the comments, chiropractors are not medical doctors. They do still have doctorates though and that is nothing to scoff at, it can take a lot of hard work. Also chiropractic care was started by a man named Daniel David Palmer who claimed to have learned it from a ghost. He claimed that 95% of all ailments are aroused of possession by malicious spirits displacing bones within the skeletal system (citation. Chiropractic journal of Australia). About 13/1000 patients are injured during chiropractic adjustments (cit. northeast journal of skeletal medicine 2015) an astonishingly high rate especially when compared to the entirety of the medical field at around 1.3/1000 (cit. Journal of the American medical association). Also there is no evidence to indicate chiropractic care has any effect greater than placebo (Although I’d like to note that placebo doesn’t mean it doesn’t help, the placebo effect can have real and measured impact on patient outcome and if you are helped and your pain is relieved then all the more power to you) the only difference is a chiropractor will charge you thousands of dollars and maybe paralyze you.

Thank you for this information and advice 🙏I am changing my lifestyle and my diet will soon be going for walk when my foot is healed from an injury. my doc has prescribed me amlodipine 5mg which I take in the night 5:56

I am a good weight, (135), eat local and organic (I like local, humanely-raised meat but don't eat it often), bike 12 miles, sometimes, hike, walk, workout at the gym for 45 minutes 2 to 3 times a week, and still my bp can get over 160/89 or higher, sometimes. It's good, for me at 137/83. Must be stress, although I do yoga and work at gratitude and positivity. When I do deep breathing, it really brings it down. I do take quality vitamins--NOW, Solaray, Mercola, Gaim, etc., including magnesium. I am 74 years young. ; -) Any ideas, doc?
Sounds like you’re doing a ton right. 2 thoughts that could be different from the norm: zinc deficiency can increase BP and magnesium as well but I’ve had some success with specifically supplementing with magnesium aspartate as different types of magnesium can have different effects. Both might be worth a try. Hope that helps!
@@VennChiropractic Thank you for the additional suggestions! I checked my magnesium and it is not aspartate so I will buy some of that and take the zinc. I'll let you know in a few weeks, if anything changed! 🙏
"Don't pop it for free by yourself. Come to us to do it for money"
I wish it was that simple. Unfortunately, I can show signs of degeneration in people who have popped themselves for years that is very unique to self popping.
@@VennChiropractic The popping is not the case. When we go to the chiropractor the first thing that you will do after paying plenny of money is to do special move and exercise so the gas in your movable joint take a place that will make it more relaxing and easy to pop. And thats where the problem come. All people will think that the "chiropractor" do a special move that is better than what we do by our self. But it is not, because he make you think that by fool your inner mind. The situation here is not about right or wrong (Which I think it is wrong to pop anyway) but it is about the plenny of people that scammed by paying their money for one second of relax. I spoke to many doctors and prof. about "chiropractor" things and all of them told me that the 95% of them are not suppose to even open a massage salon, they just sell the illusion to people.
@@osamaalhoid224 well I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been very misinformed. Chiropractors have helped millions of people find relief when popping themselves didn’t work. I pray you never need one. Good luck to you!
This is a wonderful video! I love the lawn-watering analogy; it really helped me understand blood pressure more clearly, and I'm feeling inspired to be more consistent with diet & exercise. What I don't understand, though, is why my blood pressure was always great until I got older. Apparently that's very common. Thanks for the great video!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, blood pressure rising as you get older is common, and there are many reasons for it. Obviously, it could be a change in heart muscle function or strength affecting the body's ability to pump blood efficiently. It also could be other parts of the cardiovascular system that simply become weaker or less efficient with age. Fun fact: The soleus muscles in your lower legs are known as the second heart as their use and strength play a role in pumping blood back up to the heart. Training those muscles has been shown to have a positive effect on blood pressure and cardiovascular efficiency. Simply put, as we get older we have to unfortunately work harder to maintain our strength and cardiovascular system. Use it or lose it is so true. And if we don't change anything as we age, we will always lose function. Proper exercise can absolutely fight against the "normal" aging process.
@@VennChiropractic thanks -- that makes a lot of sense!
@@pattie2day You're welcome!
Can you give me any advice regarding a broken wrist? My question is - is it possible to get full movement back without having surgery ie plate and screws and with physio will get the full range of movement back as ive been told my range with be 25 degrees less angular movement due to radius being compressed at the wrist?
Good afternoon, I’d love to help but I really can’t accurately advise you in this situation not knowing how bad the fracture is. There are many factors that would affect healing. Depending on the severity of the fracture, sometimes surgery is extremely important and sometimes it’s not necessary. What I would do is get 2 separate opinions regarding surgery and ask them both if it’s POSSIBLE to heal without surgery. If it’s at least possible and they can give direction on how to help it heal, you would likely retain more range of motion. Definitely get more than one opinion. I’ll pray you heal back to normal!
Thank you for replying. I have opted for no surgery but left it open if I wasn't happy with the range to have surgery later on. However I'm six weeks down the line now just had cast off 48 hours ago and am a little stiff. Been trying to exercise my hand and wrist to get movement back have physio booked for 2 weeks time. I have read that everyb7 years your bones regenerate so does this mean my wrist will eventually correct itself? I believe in natural healing and also have heard there soon will be med beds here to help heal people (frequency healing!). After the last 4 year's I do not trust the medical profession and hence avoising any medical interventions! Thanks in advance.
@@dawnbeake2986 You're welcome. I completely understand your distrust of medicine. Unfortunately, we have been lied to so many times or maybe just misinformed. However, there definitely is a time and place for medicine. For me, I exhaust all efforts first before going the medical route unless, of course, it's an emergency situation. Yes, in many circumstances, the body is very capable of healing itself. Of course, that depends on the situation. If the fracture is too bad, then it might not be able to correct itself...but it's possible. I will share with you: I broke a bone in my hand many years ago. On the x-ray, it was literally bent in half. I opted to skip the cast and just let it heal. I re-x-rayed it about a year after it happened, and it had completely healed back to being straight again. So, it's definitely possible! Again, I think it always depends on the situation and how bad it is. I'm glad to hear that you will be seeing a physical therapist as I think that will be very important to regain function and range of motion. I hope that helps, and if you have any other questions please let me know! Good luck!
@@VennChiropracticjust a quick update. I had my first private physio session last week and the physio told me that if I had had the surgery, I wouldn't get the full movement back in my wrist as the plate would get in the way! So Barbara O'Neill was correct when she said orthopedic surgeons wouldn't have a job if people knew surgery is not always necessary!!
How do you distract yourself during an adjustment?
Helpful advice, Thank you very much.🙏
You’re welcome!
Do you understand why your blood pressure goes up?
Thank you, Doc…🙂
You’re welcome!
Chiropractic was invented by a man when he performed a seance and a ghost informed him of the practice. He said 95% of disease is caused by subluxation. We can use our brains to think to conclude that’s not the case. So, this is someone livelihood so there’s no way they’d ever agree with what I’m saying, but please look into it. It’s a crock of horseshit and they prey on the suffering. Exactly like homeopathy. And like Mormonism they obfuscate the creation of it all and amend the parts that are instantly clocked as batshit. If they need to do that then they’re not being honest. Not with themselves. Have a good one, and remember, knowingly doing this instead of ANYTHING else beforehand is evil and against my morals as a human and I’ll never shut up about this until I die.
Sincerely- my back hurts and I need to visit one.
