DuroMax 13000kW generator for full house hook up
We have owned this generator for 2 years now and have a great success using it. Set up is easy with the solid rubber tires and strong lift foldable arms. Battery electric start makes it easy with the push of a button to power the entire home with electricity fueled by propane. Gasoline goes bad over time and usually long lines at the pump. The 100lbs propane tank sits idly in the garage never spoiling waiting to be called into action. Great set up for less than $2k!

Definitely looking to upgrade in the future to an expedition with heavy duty towing or a class C in the future. Depending on which route we go with a larger camper. Hi thanks for your video. I have a 2018 Traverse with V92 trailing package. Our family of four made a purchase order for Apex Nano 194 BHS tt (which has 4800 lbs of wet weight and 3600 lbs of dry weight). But in the last few days, we went through several towing capacity calculations and it scared us off to think maybe we are going over the limits of our vehicle. If I don't add any aftermarket items (which I don't mind adding if needed) but with the factory trailing package, do you think our vehicle should be able to handle the trailer? Also have you traveled with full liquids in the trailer or you always make sure to empty the liquids?

    • @allanhernandez4282
      @allanhernandez4282 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the after market things I added come stock with the V92 package. My car was not tow equipped so I simply made the V92 package on my own. My camper is actually the 1 larger then the one you ordered. 5200lbs dry according to the sticker. When fully loaded its up there. But it NEEDS to be paired with a weight distribution hitch and it will evenly distribute weight across all tires. I took it to the scales fully loaded and the camper axels were coming in at 4300lbs. I was very surprised at how well it worked. We have towed up many steep TN and GA mountains confidently. I never tow with fluids, it’s 100% unnecessary. I empty everything including the water heater. At 8+ pounds per gallon, no thanks. Good luck!

      @@Robodreamer we travel with 4 people, a bunch of kids and adult toys. Sometimes a kayak. I usually pack the trunk up of the car with stuff but heavier items I put in the camper closer to the axels. But not behind the axels. This is an awesome video! Thank you, Allan! I will soon be towing a camper with a 3,800 lb dry weight. I have the HD radiator ordered. I live in Houston and will be towing in mostly hot climates. For the transmission cooler, did you use Derale 13502, 13503, or a different one? I called Derale and they would not make a suggestion without knowing what temperature my transmission is currently running at because they were worried I may actually overcool the transmission fluid. My question is should I use the transmission cooler in your opinion, and which model # Derale did you go with? Thanks!

    Allan, Thanks for this Video and it is very reassuring for most traverse owners that we do have ourselves a worthy vehicle. I have the 2010 Traverse AWD and I also have upgraded my vehicle to the "V92" package and I have Documented my upgrade on the traverseforum. Search for "Adding Towing Package to 2010 Traverse LT 148k miles". I have a very heavy popup camper because that is what i can afford to buy not because of vehicle limitation. Popup is solar powered and I can go a whole year camping without the need for any external power source. When you are pulling your camper, how does the traverse feel in your experience? What's the longest travel you've done pulling the camper? Do you feel like you can pull more (heavier)? BTW my traverse has 260,000miles on it as of today --original engine. I am not done with it yet. I trust this vehicle and I do very much intended to keep it for a very very long time. I stopped going to the dealer when they started telling to trade it at only 80,000 miles!!!!

      @allanhernandez4282 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I highly suggest NOT installing the oil cooler as it was very finicky and is just another issue that could go wrong as mine did. I installed mine exactly as the manufacturer instructions stated and the moment I pulled out of my driveway the flood gates of oil came loose and poured everywhere. Everything was installed properly and it was the correct part for my car. I would never do that again. I just towed the camper on a 1000k mile trip and the vehicle performance was flawless with HD radiator and transmission cooler. Temps were dead center all trip. However, the vehicle can easily tow this at 55-60mph between 2200-3000rpm don’t expect super responsive power and great MPG. I found myself fueling every 200-220 miles. It’s the reason why we plan on upgrading to a Suburban. Traverse and similar vehicles are very capable tho. It’s practically the same size engine in an expedition minus the twin turbo.
