    Well, Yudhishthir did enter heaven in his mortal body due to his exceptional karma. So he defied natural order?!

      Yes . And Raja Harishchandra and his wife also went to swarg with their human bodies. And a sudra in ganesh puran also went to ganesh lok with human body .

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts and adding such interesting examples! Yes, Yudhishthir entering heaven in his mortal body due to his impeccable dharma is one of the rare instances where the natural order was transcended. Similarly, Raja Harishchandra and his wife’s ascension, as well as the Sudra from Ganesh Puran, reflect the power of karma and devotion in altering divine laws. Trishanku’s story, however, stands apart because his entry into ‘Swarg’ was not due to exceptional karma but rather due to Sage Vishwamitra’s determination and defiance of the celestial gods. It’s fascinating to see how these narratives highlight different dimensions of dharma and divine intervention.

    Thanks. :) I am a folklorist and love exploring the stories of other cultures. I remember somewhere seeing the God Indra lying on his back in a pool with a lotus growing out of his belly button. And inside that lotus was a pool with a smaller likeness of Indra laying on his back, etc. ad infinitum. It reminded me of concepts of fractal symmetry generated with fractal mathematics. A truly profound image of the God. I also collect "Will-o'-the-wisp" legends and was interested to see if you know of any similar legends like the Bengali "Aleya" -marsh lights?

    • @curiouspri
      @curiouspri หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for sharing such a fascinating thought! The image of Indra with the lotus is so profound-it does feel like a cosmic fractal, endlessly layered. On the ‘Aleya’ lights, they’re so captivating! Similar legends like Japan’s ‘Hitodama’ show how these mysteries connect across cultures. Would love to hear more about your collection!

    • @dellwood17
      @dellwood17 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@curiouspri My collection consists of recorded narratives from groups of airmen whom had either sighted anomalous 'balls of light' or were key functionaries within the intelligence architecture of the US Army Air Forces during the Second World War. These 'balls of light' sighted by Allied airmen share many similarities with the earlier types of 'Will-o'-the-wisp' legends. In fact, many airmen made direct comparisons with the 'Will-o'-the-wisp.' Hence, these sightings of 'Foo Fighters' during WW2 represent a re-emergence of the legend type, although interpreted through the lens of a highly technological group, the Night Fighters. Throughout history, interpretations of the above experiences, almost always borrows interpretations from what a culture believes is the highest, most modern form of knowledge. This is exactly what happened with the Foo Fighters and then later with UFOs. During WW2, these airmen overwhelmingly believed that these 'balls of light' were real, historical German and Japanese weapons. As is the case today, we know from historical research I provided on these events, that these things were not German or Japanese weapons. These types of stories about 'Historical weapons' are indeed variants of the Will-o'-the-wisp legend, purporting a 'natural' origin which is never fully demonstrated. These types of stories form the corpus of 'skeptical belief-legends' about the Will-o'-the-wisp lights. So I had to understand how it is that these experiences unfold. This lead me down the path of visual experience as it transitions into 'night vision.' I found a mass of research which demonstrates that these types of visual experiences at night are very common. What is uncommon is that cultural context is not divorced from these experiences and generally overpowers the post-experience interpretation. Thus, an individual who experiences such an inexplicable event will be more likely to borrow comparisons and concepts from a popular source of lore. These are 'attempted rationalizations' of these events, a quite natural process. I have published an article on the Foo Fighters and feel that it is quite important when examining experience based legendry, such as the Memorate. I e-mailed you a copy at this site's address. Hope you enjoy. :)

    Parvathi did not get pregnant not even once because of Devi Rati's curse.. Though she was supreme mother, she was barren herself.. The seeds of Shiva was rescused by Agnidev and deposited in water of Ganga and it is in the waters of Ganga, the Shiva's semen incubated into foetus and her water currents deposited the divine foetus in Sharavana reed and hence Kartikeya was born and was raised and nurtured by Kritikas.. Similar, is the birth of Ganesha, were Parvathi made a idol of ganesh of clay or sandal paste, but it was just an idol of a child that she wished she could have. Then she immersed it in the water of Ganga and the idol got alive into a son.. That's why both Kartikeya and Ganesha are said to be Son of Ganga too like they are son to Parvathi.

    It is actually mentioned in Devi Bhagavatam or Sri Bhagavat puran, Brahmavaivarta puran, and others so on.. The three goddesses, Ganga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, reside with MahaVishnu in their Mool Roop or Poorna Roop as his consorts. The Ansh roop of Saraswati and Ganga resides with Lord Brahma and Shiva, respectively as their consorts before the other half flowing as rivers into earth...Also, MahaVishnu consoles them upon not wanting to part from him and tells them that once Kalyug is over, they will return back to him in full form and reside along with Lakshmi as his consorts forever.. Actually, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parvathi and Ganga are among eight forms of energies of Adiparashakti herself and are one just like Brahma, Vishnu and Mahadev.. It is the tendency of humans to think them as different entities. We fail to understand they cannot exist without each other and are one. As you teaches, why we should control our tongue and actions as they can have terrible consequences.

    The beauty of Sanatana Dharma. Also reminds me of the time when people of Ayodhya couldn't bear the separation from Shree Ram after being exiled. But Shree Ram had to send them back to continue His Leelas. He told all the males and females to return. When Shree Ram returned, there were still group of people waiting, it was a transgender community. Since Shree Ram had only told the males and females to leave, they remained. Touched by this because Shree Ram granted them a boon. Respect and Devotion. Simple
