I'm sorry, Daenerys is really a great character but I think that in the show she never really had any of her power that didn't come from her armies or dragons. She wasn't able to construct any plan or find any balance throughout her journey to westeros and while she was in meerene. she couldn't control a city without using her dragons at one point and when she got to westeros she lost TWO dragons all because she couldn't construct a working plan without Tyrion or her allies. I think that she didn't really have any experience and knowledge of how things work, so at one point she always had to solve things on agressive ways. as a ruler she wasn't powerful at all, she had no wisdom , but as a dragon queen she had all the power but at what cost? her personality also wasn't any good to her goals, she badly underestimated sansa but immediately saw yara as a true ruler, expected everyone to suddenly bend the knee after years of suffering under her father's and after his rule, and not see her as a stranger from essos which caused her rage instead of another tactic. also i think that the writers did a damn bad job with her character. instead of bringing her to westeros suddenly, and ruining her character there they could've shown the process of her getting right amount of experience and wisdom, but instead they showed us this little girl who talks about burning cities and ruling the whole world while unable to control one city. that's the sad truth, she had a great potential for the character which she never became in the show. Daenerys Targaryen would be dead if it wasn't for her dragons which died because of her inability to play the game the way it is played in westeros.

They are iconic as a couple and as individuals. They developed so beautiful. Forever in my heart.
