We cover post-hardcore from Sheffield, moshy death metal from Tokyo, and indie-punk storytelling from Naarm/Melbourne. Plus much, much more. Let’s go! 🔀

It was an accident!! 😢 He's a good boy though, and he got treats as a peace offering.
Agree with others. Honest interview. Appreciate both. Amazing album too. Have had on repeat since it was released.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great interview. The host is a good podcaster 👍
Cheers, James! Good pods rest on great guests 🫡
Amazing interview, so awesome hearing Jon talk about these songs. Such a special band and a special record.
Hell yeah, thanks!! Stoked you enjoyed it. I love chatting with Jon and getting the back story behind Balance songs, and this record is no exception. Some of their most important and personal material to date 🔥
Excellent interviewer, really good interviewing style and questions!
Hell yeah! Thanks! Stoked you enjoyed the interview 🫡
excellent question from the interviewer

her scream is fantastic. its not that FAKE GROWL others do. it is an actual scream.
Bec's vocals are top tier. Great interview.
Thanks!! She's a total weapon ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Thank you so much for having me 🥹🖤
You're so welcome!!! Thanks for coming on the show 🫶🏼😊
Great podcast man! Subbed because of this! If you want you can check out our band: Everything Decays. Also female fronted! th-cam.com/video/30-q9M9xGj0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_EMKr8TA6OEY0NNU
The diversity and often self depreciating lyrics of RedHook are why I love them so much. I love how different songs hit in different ways but they all still feel like RedHook, it's not that there isn't a RedHook sound, it's just the sound is malleable and adaptable. It was great to get some extra insight into the creative process, and Emmy is so relatable so it was a fun watch too, can't wait to see her kill it in Perth this week.
Hell yeah! Totally agree, and adaptable is the perfect descriptor, imo. Emmy is such a legend, too, so getting insight into her vision for RedHook on the new LP was one of the best things about our chat.
I love this woman i'm from México. hope some day finally met him ando his band.

You do look cute as a Brat!! But also the Mayfair is not as fun, when you are locked in , sitting on the toilet and THEN they turn off the lights!!!!!😮 😂😂😂 long time ago but slightly scarred 😂
@@carriewilson553 that is hilarious, you obviously didn't hear them playing closing time! I must admit, it has been a minute since I've visited too 🤔
Started going to hardcore shows because of Falcifer. They were my gateway into metal hardcore. Went to my first show and loved it! Just discovered Terminal Sleep recently and I was listening to their stuff at a recent hardcore show just a couple of days ago, in between the sets. They got me hyped to jump in the pit!
Hell yeah, that's sick!! 💪🏼
Monstrona !!!! Foda !
Thanks for the shout out!!
Anytime! You're the realest, Carrie 🫡

@@TPDPod worth the wait! Thanks for using my footage too! Was a cool surprise
Oh hell yeah! You're very welcome. Good live footage is always hard to pin down 🙏🏼
Hope you guys go far, love your music. I get those gains in the gym jamming the live sets!

Intensity is what I use to describe this band. Love it. My wife not quite as much. She'll come around.
Intensity really is the perfect descriptor, and it's Bec's stage presence personified. Take your wife to a show and she'll be a guaranteed convert 🫡
@@TPDPodThey need to come to the states. Can't fly to the land down under for a show.
Show her the lyrics and she will def come around
Can't wait to see them live! European tour any time soon?
They absolute crush their live show! Fingers crossed for Europe soon 🤞🏼👀
Nice Jacket! 😊
Thanks! It was my Mum’s in the 80s 😉
🫡
Thanks for the kind words! Hope to see you at the final shows ❤🖤
Can't wait! 🙏🏼🫡
SO drawn to Bec’s vocal style and presence. Terminal Sleep is my medicine right now! This Philly metalhead will be ready for TS indoctrination when they come here! 🤘
Band makes only bangers, thanks TH-cam recommendations

She’s a phenomenal singer in an absolutely killer band.
Agreed! Such a powerful talent!! 🫡
I hate the fact that they're getting more and more popular. I wanted their music all to myself. LoL. They deserve the recognition. I've been a fan since day 1.
Absolutely deserving. They've been crushing it from Day 1 💪🏼
Just discovered them last week, best band I’ve heard in a while! Got chills watching the Spineless video Please come to the states one of these days! Also I had a big grin when she mentioned liking ETID, one of my favorite bands RIP
ETID were the some of the best to ever do it! Unreal band.
Looking forward to hearing more from them - she seems like a great personality with a solid attitude. Best of luck to the band and hopefully a UK tour in the near future
Hell yeah, Bec is the real deal. UK tour is definitely a "watch this space" thing 👀
It was an absolute pleasure doing this interview! Thanks guys ❤
The pleasure was all ours 🖤🙏🏻
Thank you for 90 minutes of unfiltered Ami ❤
Hell yeah, we hope you enjoyed it! 🫡
One of the best vocalists around
Insanely talented!!
man she is so freaking cute..great vocalist, underrated band,..Bec this old retired 53 yo combat Vet wants you guys to tour the States..a show with Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God, Kittie or others would be a hell of a lineup
Bec was talking about listening to As The Palaces Burn recently in our bonus episode stuff, so I could definitely see a Lamb of God show on the TS bucket list!!
If only Chris Barnes vocals were still good. Was my favorite, terminal sleep is now on top. People come people go sadly. Bec, you are on top!
Cool
2 weeks ago I saw Cece’s (crawling, algor mortis) interview and now this. Lots of badass bands from Australia. Hope they’d tour the US soon.
Hell yeah! I know touring outside of Australia is definitely on the agenda. So soon hopefully.
Greatest of all time
🫡
Hoping, hoping they are touring overseas in Europe or the USA in the near future - I heard nothing but good news as a fan. Definitely could do a flight to Europe from the USA if they tour there.
Oh, they absolutely crush it live. And I'm sure US/Europe touring is on the cards for TS. Especially with their debut full-length on the way. You could always fly to Australia though ✈️
Dude, she screams with her whole body. Every live recording I’ve seen (I’m in the States, lol I haven’t seen them live yet) you can almost hear her without mic. Such a monster vocalist
Can confirm that Bec's screams are immense. Her stage presence is next level 🫡
Yea we need a tour in the states
Baddest Baddie in heavy music! ❤️ from Illinois
Bec is the queen!!! 💅🏻
Great interview. I've been watching and listening (and moshing) to TS since their second show onwards. You were bang on about the representation to many young women, as well as Bec's somesort of mix up with her vocals on these two new tracks. They're always been great but these new ones feel a little more pronounced per lyric. I feel like with these two new tracks, I heard them for the first time and I pretty much heard every lyric, as opposed to a couple of listen throughs for other tracks before I really heard was the band was trying to say. To see Melbourne HC so healthy with bands like TS releasing stuff left and right, shows healthy as fuck attendance, I feel like we're watching something super special. I am here for it, and I'll be having a boogie at Skorn 👏 👏
Totally agree! The two-track has stellar production and Bec's diction and range are next level. Her clarity in rage is a palpable thing. Melb hxc is in a great spot right now, too. Sick bands everywhere and the kids are crushing it 💪🏼
I love you
