I’m not against study motivation, and honestly it helps me, but it’s just crazy how a field as rich and enjoyable as academics is boiled down to marks. Of course, they’re a good motivator, and I’m not looking down on anyone who wants em (cuz I want them too lol) but what about the thrill of knowing? What about the luxury of ranting about your recent studies to other people, of making crazy theories and personal projects? I feel that school stifles this in many people. The grade system has become a sort of internalised police. Education, at least the way it is in my country, is not even about learning, it’s just about being efficient with the course work. Makes me feel like a worker bee. It’s sad.

Yes. today I wrote my maths exam and it was easy but I didn't write some questions now I counted how many questions I write . And the total is 14 / 20 I marks i am just sad because I tried my best and I worked so hard to get 20 by 20 but I got 14 /20 marks that's why I am sad and my mum said it's ok you will try your best in your next exam I work so hard to get first rank in class but because of maths I lose my grade point 😢
