One of the best greenways in Cary NC. Blackcreek greenway is a nice winding, mostly flat paved greenway which follows a creek. It starts or ends (depending on your reference) at Crabtree Lake.

This was a fun trail which goes from Mt. Mitchell to Mt Craig summits. The morning was foggy so we couldn't see off the mountain but it was still a great hike. Only about 90 minutes there and back.

Great view at Wiseman's Overview of the Linville Gorge. No hike ... just an easy walk from the parking lot. It does require about a four mile drive on a very bumpy gravel/rock road but the view is worth it. There are many trail heads off of this road which lead down into the Gorge.

This video is from a hike on the Crabtree Falls Loop Trail. The view of the waterfall is great and well worth the hike. The loop hike took about 90 minutes and had some difficult parts to it, but my family with children and able bodied adults were able to do it. There are steep stairs/rock paths to climb.

Some video of our ride on Hinshaw greenway & Pirates Cove Greenway. Crossed over US1 on bike path viaduct. We started at Pirates Cove and road south. Crossed US1 and stopped Wellington Park. Turned around and went back across the viaduct and stayed to the left to ride on Hinshaw greenway. Once at the end, we road on a neighborhood street to get back to the entrance of Pirates Cove.
