The micarta on that knife looks and feels like shit. I love some of their knives but that particular model I don’t care for.

Benchmade has lousy customer service too. I returned and automatic knife I bought in 1997 because the opening mechanism broke. The dealer sent it in for repair and they would not fix it or return it to the dealer. The dealer did refund me my $120.00.Never even gave Benchmade a look from then on and will never buy a Benchmade knife in the future.Their knives are not worth the high price tag. I have the same ST knife you have and I like it a lot.I have owned and carried it for about a year now and used it a lot and still I have yet needed to sharpen it.

I would have liked a smaller version just to be able to clip the mic2 onto this. I got the OP3 to avoid having to bring my bulky RSC2 + Sony alpha with me and this unit beats that purpose.

Its certainly better than a Benchmade, but not a Spyderco.

Benchmade knives are for SUCKERS!!

Looking at the blade condition, I would agree with you here. For people who carry knives to maybe open a box or cut a small string, then this is a great option. For those of us who's knife looks years old after 2 weeks of using the tool, then no Swiss Tech is not the way.

I would hope even the cheapest ball bearing knives were as smooth as a bronze washer Benchmade knife. Ball bearing pivots are for people who sit at a desk and flip their knives all day and call it hard use.

I love my Benchmade, but Im not going to beat it. The Swiss Tech is not as good as Benchmade, but for the price the Swiss Tech can be abused. Nobody cares if they break one. Its perfect for Walmart. If you are looking for lasting quality, you get the Benchmade.

There are so many brands out there that are just as good if not better than benchmade yall need to go down to your local knife store and get hands on with some other brands

It would have helped if you didn't put this is fast motion while setting up. I have the same one and cannot seem to get the centre to hook up to that little pole and I need to be able to put it up by myself in 2 weeks :(

Knife people are too brand obsessed. I’ve never had a more satisfying assisted opening knife than the S&W Magic models which are cheap and sold everywhere.

Basically just got one of these for free. Midwayusa has a deal where they give you 25 dollars off of your order if you hit 100 dollars on qualifying items. This was one of the items that put me over and qualified for 25 bucks off.

Had this for a while until I lost it. Stayed kind of sharp, the red finish on the flip tab and the carabiner hole wore off quickly. Overall the knife is a good value, but not worthy to replace benchmades.

I've been into slingshots for about a year now... they are a lot of fun ! I did archery for a couple of decades with my father, who was really into archery... I had a few slingshots growing up, but never really related it to archery back then... slingshots have progressed a great deal since then... and learning how to properly shoot them thanks to TH-cam videos. I revived an old wrist-rocket type slingshot they I had with new latex tubing, and started shooting shelled peanuts out at the grey squirrels that live in the wooded area that I make my home... great fun, and they don't care if I hit them or just get close to them ! I own a few similar Chinese slingshots like you have... great quality for the money... I like having a lanyard on my slingshot... I removed the wood/plastic handles and milled grooves on the bottoms, so I could fit one of my own custom paracord lanyards. The best clay ammo that I have found is from Walmart, 3/8" white ball, and pretty consistent in size, unlike the crappy brown ones that I first bought online... sometimes they are hard to find, but I managed to find it locally at a few Walmarts in the area. Best part about slingshots, is you can shoot them easily indoors with the proper target setup... pretty easy to make a nice catchbox from a large cardboard box, like the size a dehumidifier comes in, and an old towel or t-shirts to stop and ammo... I have had a nice target setup for airguns, and easily added the slingshot setup... great fun !

Oh dude that knife is amazing for the money… I hardness tested mine at work and got 59hrc which for aus 8 is pretty solid.. it’s held an awesome safe too.. it’s my work blade.. I ground the flipper off tho

One knife cannot change your opinion on bench made. I think you need to buy a few more lol
