Thanks for sharing your story. I'm from the UK and had a similar experience with a Goldsmiths jewelers. I wanted to purchase my 1st Rolex and visited a Goldsmiths AD after making an appointment through the WOS website. I was met with a wonderfully helpful lady who had worked at the branch for 10 years. We spent about an hour talking through my watch collecting experience, the models that I was interested in and tried a few models including a batman GMT. I was made to feel welcome. I was told that of the models that I'd shown interest in, I'd likely get an Explorer 40mm before id get a no-date sub, but I would be added to the waitlist. After the customer service I'd received I was happy to buy the Explorer 40mm. A month later I had to drive close to the AD which is 2 hours away and I had my partner with me. I popped in and checked in with the store attendant that I was indeed still on the list, which he confirmed, but we were both treated like an inconvenience, at one point he yawned in my face after I responded to something he asked! Within 3 months I got "the call" and travelled to the AD. I had a lovely young man who served me, but i felt as though I was being dealt with very transactionally, no offer of a drink (I just travelled 2 hours), it just felt a bit of an anti-climax. And then, there he was again. The store assistant from a few weeks back with the bad attitude. While I was waiting for my watch to be resized I thought, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have been tired before, but he's sat at a table no other customers and doing nothing so I'll make conversation... big mistake. I asked about the OP smooth bezel green dial that was in the cabinet in front of him (which I could have picked up from the grey market for around £1k more than retail at the time), he told me that I'd be waiting for 6+ years for that model, when I laughed he said "we have 600+ people on our waitlist, there's no way that everyone is getting the watch they want, it's good for businesses that you can't just get the watch you want." He then asked me about which watch I'd just bought and as I started to answer he yawned in my face (again). It took everything in my power not to grab him by his cheap suit and ask him if I was interrupting him doing f*ck all! I don't know where some 25 year old shop assistant gets off being disrespectful to customers who can afford items that they can't after years of hard work, but I worked in retail and customer service for years, if you don't like dealing with people, work somewhere else. I'm still on the waitlist for the no date sub, but I just have a nasty taste in my mouth about the whole experience. I think about it every time that I wear my Explorer. £7k+ is a LOT of money to spend on any item, at 44 I'm finally in a position where I can treat myself to the occasional luxury. Would I want to by the Sub when I get the call, probably not now and that's a massive shame. Ironically, I walked into an Omega boutique (still owned by WOS group) and ALL of the staff were fantastic... makes no sense! 🤷‍♂️

Too many bangers by amouage to make only top5. My favorites are over 20 different ones. Royal tobacco is also so amazing

Chiar asta ma face sa vreau sa le incerc.. cu toate ca sunt asa scumpe , nici nu sunt la indemana. Plus ca sunt marketate interesant , fiind cartier si avand putine note si probabil ingrediente , ma face sa cred ca macsr sunt facute bine si special. Probabil as fi dezamagit si mi s ar parea ca nu merita. Btw superbe sticlele

Mid 90’s - 2000 German bought Rolex to the highest price 16520 market USD$9000 msrp USD$4277 . Today Market getting more globalised & colourless. Who can offer the same purchase date as the card warranty day unless AD at chrono 24 ?????? The one offering MSRP AD is the one more honest to Rolex factory. Some AD selling market price at Chrono 24. The shop just for them to get stock from Rolex but never sell watch there. Simple question, any single one person can get a 126529LN with MSRP from any AD or boutique ?????? 😂😂

Sorry to hear about your experience. But is Rolex ADs and Rolex enthusiasts interested in having a normal hard working east European dude wearing their watches? I have noticed snobbery that is excluding normal people and I believe that the majority of Rolex enthusiasts wants to feel special and exclusive.

Salut Razvan. In primul rand vreau sa te felicit si sa.ti zic sa.l porti sanatos. Sunt in asentimentul tau 100%. Pacat ca asa firma renumita sa.si trateze clientii in asa hal. Am auzit ca peste tot asa e. Doar pt ca cererea e imensa si au devenit super nesimtiti pe chestia asta. Tocmai pt chestia asta,eu, daca aveam banii sa.mi iau un ceas de genul as fi luat un Grand Seiko sau un Omega, un Czapek etc, intelegi ideea. Inca o data, n.am nimic impotriva ceasurilor Rolex, dar cum te trateaza AD.urile e chiar mizerabil. Vb ta, munceasc f mult pt banii astia si experienta de cumparare cu ad.ul omoara tot farmecul si entuziasmul. Te salut, cu respect.

I'm glad my AD guarantees a maximum wait of 1 year, you have to make a deposit but it arrived within a year every time in my experience, which is great!

Customer service in Germany is awful

That sales agent didn’t give you any service because he did not earn commission from your watch. They are just acting as an errand boy from the boutique.

How safe is it to wear a Rolex and walk around in Germany? Is it as bad as UK and large cities in the U.S.? Your bad experience with buying the Rolex sounds similar to bad experiences other people are having across the luxury merchandise industry, from cars to clothes. These brands have become too arrogant and elitist.

Congratulations and have fun with the Watch. I‘ve had similar experiences with Bucherer and Wempe in Berlin for the GMT II Batman or Rootbeer. I didn‘t care to mich about which one. One Salesperson made several appointements with me and still didn‘t sell me the watch. I was waiting 4 years and lost interest completely as prices did rise many times. I rather spent my money on many fragrances and on cars now

Great review man I’m hesitating between the two. I find that Hermès Ambre Narguilé is smoother and softer whereas PDM Oajan is more spicy and closer to Angels’ Share. Thanks for the review🤝

As far as I’m aware Sergio Momo and assistant perfumers created the Join The Club line. Not the same at all apart from ambergris note. Ambre Nuit just doesn’t last. Evening fragrance… date or meal etc. 40 knots is a monster . I wear it all year round, fantastic in colder weather

Its fine that you believe that FDB Out Nior is a "copy" of TF but you say that "pay double the price of the ingredients" is left field lol.. FDB raw materials are vastly superior to that of TF and as far as the 2 fragrances are concerned in a head to head review, the opinions will differ based of preferences but FDB Oud Noir is far more natural in its composition and in the air.

I always wanted to purchase the 40 Knots, sadly didn't yet, but it's on my radar :)
