Is this video from the 1990s, or early 2000s?
I had five MRI's with no problem over the last 20 years. When I went to my last one I didn't last two minutes. I have no idea WTH happened but its real.
I had an MRI last week. It was the most horrifying experience of my life! I became extremely claustrophobic after about 45 minutes. I squeezed the panic bulb, but nothing happened. I squeezed it again and again, but to no avail. Then I started shouting for the operator, and he didn’t show up for another five minutes. I explained about. What had happened. He inspected the alarm bulb, and told me that it had malfunctioned. He said he was almost through, and that I needed to wait another 15 minutes, so he close the machine back up, and finish. The procedure. I refuse to ever go through one of those again.
Wow! What a terrifying experience! I would have literally died.
They need to change these these machines are horrible I was in one the other day it was awful
Now they messed up cuz heart of Ohio is their Obgyn and they are very rude at mount carmel st Ann’s
I have had dozens of MRIs but suddenly i cant do it. The tech told lots of people who were once comfortable can no longer do it. My doctor really needs the image of my neck so they have to shore up my head it's literally like being entombed. I lasted about two minutes. Fucking horrifying 😮
I couldnt do it they gave me Ativan to reduce my anxiety but it was really tight my shoulders were hitting the edge on the way in I couldnt do it and it pissed me off lol
Its time for a new invention to replace this GD contraption!
Hey creed its cooper
To Prov my last name is conley
Im still out here
Guys thats me 🎉
Never again.
I wasnt sure until I entered that thing last night. I was terrified within the first 5 seconds. I endured 30 minutes before I called timeout. I do not recall being as terrified.
I have had a quite a few MRI scans and even though I closed my eyes I needed my eyes covering, I mentioned it to the nurse and bless her heart she fetched me a fluffy hand towel rung out in warm water and sprayed with lavender....it was one of the best MRI scans I had ever had and I am claustrophobic. Up until then my late husband used to hold my fingers too far in the machine to hold my hand. 🇬🇧
I tried to make MRI 3 times and i couldnt do it i immediately stopped in the beginning
How did you do it finally?
@G2312 . I already tried to 2 times and have appointments for January 17th 2025 !
I have severe claustrophobia, I feel claustrophobic in a normal elevator or airplane. I spoke to imaging centre's and I told them about my issue, all the advice they gave was, "just breathe, we can stop machine if necessary" yeah, I am aware of that, but 'breathing' doesn't do much when you feel like you're about to have a full-blown panic attack. They eventually suggested that I opt for sedation, but its a whooping $1600 fee just for sedation, like... I get they have to charge for it, but its like they are giving you, "either pay an arm and a leg or have a panic attack" and since my potential issue is life threatening, I decided to pay the fee for sedation, I had to sell my car to cover the cost. Ohwell.
Im reading your comment like i write it i feel the same and they just dont give a shit of our fears i tried to make it 3 times and it is only for my knee and i couldnt and they were always joking at me and laugh they are just dont fkn care
@@nabilsedawi3020 Right?! The only people who joke or think is no big deal are the people who are lucky enough to never experience anxiety and panic attacks. They are no joke, sometimes when people end up in hospital with chest pain and breathing issues, sometimes doctors think you're having a heart attack, as the symptoms can be very similar. I unfortunately know people who put off getting a MRI for 6+ months because of their phobia and imaging centers couldn't care less....
Did the sedation work? And did you have to have it done in a hospital since you needed sedation. I know the diagnostic center does not have anyone to give sedation. My doctor has prescribed me medicine but I’m scared to death that the meds won’t work 😢
@@chasityleman7932 Yeah, it worked. They gave me twilight sedation or moderate sedation, not full general anesthesia but I don't remember anything. The normal imaging clinics didn't do it so I had to get it done at the imaging centre in a hospital. How many medications did your doctor give? Did he give valium/diazepam? Those meds aren't full proof but can work for most people, if you have extra, maybe take 1-2 a few days beforehand to see how much it calms you down, if it doesn't do much, try to contact your doctor for a stronger sedative or advice. Good luck with everything.
How we on the alarm after finish the feed
Como puedo conseguir es muy caro Tengo una bebe de 9 mesedora
YOU people are out of your FUCKING MINDS.......Too complicated for a "simple test" I'd sooner die absent from feet, legs, hands, arms and in terrible pain than have to even listen to this dribble !!!
I rolled in, eyes so close at the ceiling I couldn’t focus. I just freaked out, I mean no way unless knocked out! Like being in your own coffin! And they don’t prepare you for it, they only respond to it when it happens. Hundreds of websites and videos reveal that MRI claustrophobia is a major problem for over 15% of patients. Needs a new damn system!
I agree, I went ape shit couple times, yesterday for a knee mri, my head wasn't even inside that tube. Deep breathing helped a little, but man, I wanted to get out run out that fucking clinic...the male nurse kept shouting at me not to mess with his machine. What a goofball he was, no consideration for patients phobia.
I had a panic attack and freaked out 😂 I started crying and had to take a deep breath and went back in and closed my eyes. It was so much better.
This happened to me
Thank you!!
Excellent way of grafting a heart during a bypass surgery
go home and do i again but getit right next time.😊
I was in an MRI yesterday and knew I had some fears during it. I made sure my eyes were closed before entering into it. That helped me out a great deal. Also thought happy thoughts….my daughter being born, holding her for the first time. My beautiful bride walking down the aisle
Thankyou for this
why bother putting clothes on the dummy, just to get in your way?!?!
I love Dr. Slam she is absolutely amazing!

How did yours go?
@@G2312 - I took a Xanax before but way easier with the medication…
Just had an MRI of the head yesterday. I am NOT a big fan of tight/enclosed spaces at all. I was able to be scanned on a a short bore, wider opening MRI. When the tech placed the plastic “helmet” over my face and my chin/neck/ upper shoulders, that’s when I thought it could be a problem for me. The tech raised and slid the table into the scanner with the helmet on so I could get a preview of what it would be like. Even with the helmet on, I could still see out and there was approx just about a foot of space above my head. That really helped me toughen up and I gave her the thumbs up to proceed. The tech was AWESOME!! Once inside I listened to the music in the headphones they gave me, and closed my eyes for most of it just trying to relax and imagine I was somewhere else. The squeeze ball was in my right hand , but honestly once I was in, I decided to just get it done!! The worst part was having to remain still, especially when I had an itch on my forehead lol. It was only a half hour and I was thrilled that the scan went perfectly.
Claustrophobic is Claustrophobic ! You cannot do an MRI without a sedative or anti anxiety meds....
what a sales pitch! They will ask how you are and ignore you.
I LOVE the sound of MRI machines! I find the scan sounds soothing!
Ok
You delivered my baby back when you were at St.Joseph regional Medical Center. You always stay on my mind. Everytime I look at my son I think if what amazing care you took of me and him. Thankyou for all of that, almost 7 years later and you still hold a special place in my heart and always will. So much love you! With love, Heather
I spent 50 minutes in the coffin today
hey thats good preparation for claustrophobia...
What is the actual measurement of the donut hole space?
Think smaller than coffin!
One page said the standard MRI opening is 60 cm - but the large bore size is 70 cm.
Calling a surgery after a vegetable
Very well done, Mark. CONGRATULATIONS 💐
I went for MRI unfortunately I’m claustrophobic and ended up leaving due to anxiety 😥 I really need advice how to overcome my fear
Take a Sedative or Benadryl... But don't tell them!...
Most doctors can prescribe a small amt of sedatives or anxiety meds. Also, look into open MRI or the seated/upright MRIs. The latter worked for me. I also have meds but have never taken them.
I had an mri for my liver and it took 1,5 hour and it was horrible. They had to stop 2 times because I was hyperventilating. What helped was a fan on the end and a small towel on my eyes so I couldn’t open my eyes. Second time I asked for open mri and that was a little better because I could take someone with me to hold my hand and that helped. But still have nightmares of that first experience.
poor child, I feel you pain, holding somebody's hand is like you have somebody there to watch out for you. I am happy that helped you out.@@Misssunshine2805
