He got kicked out of HIS band by Cronin because we did not want to stop drinking and smoking pot. I don’t recall Gary messing up concerts due to his drug usage. They did not help him by kicking him out of HIS band. That led to his downfall. Ridiculous.

So sad, in so many ways..... Don't get me wrong, but Gary was an absolutely incredible guitarist. But the alcohol abuse surely didn't help him in any way....He looks like he's about 70 plus.....

It’s very obvious Gary is playing with the second and third team and not the starters. Aside from Gary they sound like yokels from the bar down the street. Gary carried them and sounds like the guitar God that he had been.

There’s something very profound about this performance. Clearly, he had changed a lot since his heyday and wasn’t the young, cute rockstar anymore. And you are instantly forced to realize your own mortality and passage of time when he first walks onstage. Then… he starts playing… and you realize… the soul never does get sick or age. He brings you back to your youth and we are all able to forget, if only for 5 minutes, how quickly this life goes by… how quickly our youth goes by. Rock and roll is the great equalizer. 18? 30? 60? Doesn’t matter! Music will give you back your joy.

Gary was up on stage there because Gary is “The Guitar”. Nothing mattered at that moment just as long as he had six strings at his fingertips. Pure Rock Flow. RIP Gary.
